I placed an offer on a home in Arkansas a few weeks ago and today was offered a job in another state. The home loan has not been processed or finalized. The only thing I have signed is an offer and it was accepted by the homeowner. Other than losing my earnest money, which I expect....how obligated am I to this contract.

Anyone aware of someone who has tried to make this case? Seems like a natural thing for a "Right to Life" group to try and do to force a jury to decide when someone actually becomes a person.

I keep telling my wife there is a great Law & Order episode somewhere in there (although she generally tells me that I'm an idiot when I suggest this). What do you think? Other than that my wife is probably right.

State agency has authority to charge criminally, or go for civil penalties. Executed a search warrant and then decided to file a civil complaint and want to use the docs as evidence in the civil case. Seems like an end-around civil discovery. Can they do this?

Democrats have a long history of attacking the 2nd Amendment and gun rights. Whether it was Bill Clinton signing the Brady Bill (a draconian law which deeply affected millions of Americans) or Ray Nagin confiscating firearms from law-abiding people in their time of dire need, Democrats are known for the contempt in which they hold the 2nd Amendment. How can we best ensure that the assult on our Constitution and our rights is defeated?

When a big migration of immigrants from mexico came to the US the government didnt agree with there "stealing of the citizens jobs" they said mexicans where a degenerate race on a evil drug called marijuana. Isnt that ridiculas that our government is that racial. I think so whats your opinion? Why do we have these racial laws, if you look at it, thats what the law is based on lies against mexicans coming to our country. Harry J. Anslinger is one of the main culprits in the scheme back in the 1930's. The marijuana tax act of 1937 had no medical references to the drug just articles made up of yellow journalism proclaiming Anslinger's lies and congress believed them, but why aren't we changing the law, who knows our government must just respect racist mofo's i think its ridiculus.

How did we get to this place morally, where you can create another human being, and be totally free from the consequences of having that person know your name, see your picture, or even being allowed to talk to you or gaze on you even one time?

Why do we accept without question that the government should assist in this escape from consequences by sealing records and denying access to the truth to people who have done nothing wrong except be born?

Why do we treat adult children, raised by others, as the enemy of the birth parents? Why do our laws deprive one group of their rights in order to protect others from possibly having to face the consequences of their past choices?

Hey,

I'm a student journalist reporting on an incident that happened at my school several weeks ago.

The school principal ordered a Spanish teacher to rip a student's Zane book in class because the book contain content, according to him, not allowed in school.

Those who are familiar with Zane may know that her books all have sex content. Even though the school is not allowed to promote sex were his actions constitutional or unconstitutional?

How about books in literature such as Candide or The House of Spirits that also contain sex content but are allowed to be read in school.

Any feedback?
Thanks.
