It's the impact that one gets if they approach me assuming I'm an "easy take". Funny how the very sight of a pistol on one's hip or chest or in another's face quickly changes one's criminal mind to a law abiding one. And if that fails, well, one can pull the trigger to protect onesself. Here in Texas, if you want to consider assaulting or otherwise victimizing another, you MUST consider what possible firearms your intended victim might be carrying, and then even that extra second of thought often gives one the time to sober up in their thoughts and choose NOT to victimize another. It's not a hundred percent effective, but it sure increases my odds of being safe, anywhere. God Bless you.
