1. How would you feel?
2. What would you say?
3. What actions would you take in that very moment to try and stop it from happening, if any? (Not everyone is a Good Samaritan and sometimes it is NOT advisable to put yourself in danger)
4. If you were not able to help at that moment, would you find any satisfaction in knowing that the person doing the killing would be condemned by society and would most likely get their due punishment from the law, giving some consolation and a feeling of justice to you and to others?
5. Would you feel somewhat protected knowing that legal punishment would also increase the chances that the person would not be free among our society to do it again to someone else?

I've tried using Courtlink to search for a docket, but it's Worker's Comp, which isn't an option for Courtlink. I went with Superior, and was given a list of counties, all of which were unavailable.

It's NJ, in Essex County. Thanks.

I understand the ban in restaurants and family environments...however I think banning smoking in bars and casinos where they promote getting hammered as heck doesnt make much since...maybe thats because I like to smoke when i drink. In Ohio they are even banning smoking in trucks that are not owned by truck drivers......what ever happened to the War On Drugs or Poverty that we still seem to be losing?

I am in the Army, and while accompanying me on my assignment in Korea, my wife got hired for a civil service job in the grade of GS-11 using provisions of Family Member Appointment. However, shortly after hiring her, the Air Force withdrew the position, saying my wife did not meet the Time in Grade requirements. Under US Code, time in grade requirements only apply to Career Civil Servants, not to family member appointees, but the Air Force Personnel Center (which is staffed by Career Civil Servants) claimed that it was not fair that Family Members should be exempt and withdrew the appointment. My wife's boss restructured the position as GS-7 so my wife could continue to work, and we submitted a claim. The IG said they were unable to act, and our congressman was voted out of office before our issue concluded. Our JAG office has urged us from the beginning to sue the gov't, but we are in Korea and I have no idea how to find an Employment lawyer who can take our case. Any ideas?

Is it just me or are we all nuts? Why is our gov't worried about the trans-fats in the food we eat while there are people living on the streets with nothing to eat or a safe place to live, children being abused daily, AIDS, bad schools, bad roads, bad taxes, bad mental health care, over crowed prisons, too few police and firemen to protect us all. And lets not forget all the men & women fighting over seas...to the east and west. And NYC is worried about what fries and donuts are fried in....things that make you say WHERE'S YOUR PRORITIES??? Got any other stupid ideas for the politicians...they need help.

When I was young I found women very confusing in that they would say yes, then change their minds, I think drink plays a large part in adding to the mixed messages some men find themselves dealing with. As the father of both a son and daughter I know how hard it is to keep kids on the straight an narrow. Some of the sights I see of young women out on the town are a recipe for their downfall. What do you think

I called in sick and left no reason. Although my employer requested my name, reason, and telephone number, I just stated that I would not be in and left my number. Five minutes later, my boss called me and asked why I wouldn't be in. Is it legal to be required to give a reason? - I live in Ohio.

The authority of the President stems from the Constitution. If he violates it and his oath, and people, 20 yr old people with their whole life ahead of them die, is he a murderer?
It was premeditated.
Insulting me is not answering the question. I am a veteran and I take soldiers and what they are asked to do, especially when asked to die, seriously.
Did Bush?

All over the premises WITH AUDIO...even in the dressing room where employees changed clothes! I found out about this recently and since then have quit. I never signed any disclaimer allowing this. Can I sue? I heard employment law lawyers only collect fees from what they win but isn't this more of a privacy law case? I am in Illinois and I know any video/audio need to have signs posted alerting people of their presence.

Even if I don't sue this is wrong and needs to be stopped. What would you do?

do you think we should have a national dna database? just think of the resourses that could be saved , faster clear up rates would mean less opportunities for criminals to re offend. the civil liberties argument holds no water...it could be written into the law that dna evidence would only be admissible in certain types of crimes, murder, rape ,extreme violence etc...can anyone come up with a valid reason against it?

These days where there is a clear cut case with DNA proof, do you agree with me that pedo's and sex attackers and cold blooded murderers should be killed off? - we'd relieve the over crowded prisons and justice would be done.

Why try to re habilitate - it;s not worth it!

As a law obiding citezen, I feel that should I decide to go on the dole, sick or commit a crime I would be better off! -

Bit real hard into the earring... broke the stud right off.
My tooth is aching and I can feel a little chip but not really visible.
Went back and they offered me another burrito... as if I want another one from that restaurant...
Anyways my brother said I could sue because he is taking a business law class.

But if anyone who is an attorney out there can answer this question, that would be great.

Heard it might be a waste of time.. and I heard I could get something out of it..

But the bottom line... I want more than just a burrito... maybe even more than just the $5 I paid for the burrito.

Killing of animals that are other people's property (deer in the King's forest) that are not vermin (designated unwanted animals) has historically been subject of laws.

What is shooting the neighbour's cat, punching the rabbit to death, roasting the tortoise on open fire, setting a territer on a guinea pig, running the snake over in a lawnmower: is it theft or criminal damage (UK)?

I have an appeal filed in the year 2000 pending in the High Court, Mumbai. The original suit is 35 years old - and the matter has to revert back to the trial court after the appeal in the high court.

In spite of it being such an old matter, the high court does not seem to be interested in hearing the appeal. Everyday it hears appeals in matters filed even decades after my matter, but presumably is too busy to hear mine.

I have been told that I can file a Special Leave Petition (SLP) in the Supreme Court, but the SLP has to be filed against an order passed by the High Court. In this case there is no order - the matter is just orally refused to be heard.

What is the solution? How do I file a special leave petition in the supreme court asking it to expedite the hearing of my appeal, without there being a prior order from the High Court?
