I quite fancied a steak for tea.

That's correct, and the next to go is spoons. You will only be able to eat soup with a fork from then on. You won't ever get full, but there will be lots of supply.

I take it you mean a tea bone steak

The only people who handed in knives were silly old gits, 90% of what was shown on TV were actually kitchen implements.

Anyone like me who likes to have a bayonet secreted in the door pocket of my car, certainly won't hand it in!

I also have a midshipman's dirk, dating back to the days of HMS Victory, certainly not letting that fall into the hands of some ignorant, doughnut filled copper to destroy.

So if you have nothing to cut your steak with, I presume that you are a daft old git

You could always pick your steak up and rip lumps off it - like what they did in the stone age...

Or put it in a sandwich.

Either way, you'll get your steak, and the government won't be able to touch you!

:-)
