I returned to work after 7 weeks out for illness. My doctor provided a note stating medically cleared to return to work, also filled out FMLA forms provided by job (but did not give the specifics job wanted)( I thought my medical condition was private). after two weeks returning to work, HR rep stated that my FMLA papers were not filled properly. they gave me 3 days to have re-submitted or I will be terminated. I did not meet the deadline and they fired me.

I am fed up of calling what I thin is my local Abbey national bank, then find out I am diverted to India, I recently had someone try to get £1500 from my account, and whilst the lad was very nice, his grasp to speak the english language was very hard for him, something as important as fraud should be dealt with by an English person, as I had many questions I needed to ask, I will be looking to change banks, so does anybody know of a bank with an English call center...
Also the same applies to BT, I wanted to query a bill, the girl hadn't got a clue..

I am in no way racsist, and do not knock the Indian people for wanting to work,, I blame the companies for thinking they can cut corners at the expense of offering a good and pesonel service as we use to get..
Does anybody feel the same as me??

I live in a very small town that lives and breathes the "good ole boy" mentality. I was recently charged with a totally bogus crime, and told that if I didn't take the offered plea bargain and pay the fine that there would be other people in my group charged with a more serious crime. I took the deal to protect my son, who is a junior in high school. The local deputies have a history of harassing, and even killing one teenager. We are not from here, and any stand taken by myself will be met with retaliation, I am sure. My son has already been pulled over and his vehicle searched, and forced to take a breathalyzer...he blew a 000. After holding him for several hours, they called me and let him go. Because I started to stand up to them by pleading not guilty and requesting a jury trial...I am afraid for my son who is not a problem child. He makes decent grades, and takes regular drug tests to participate in sports at school, and has never been in trouble. Somebody has got to know.

My health care provider is not paying a bill that they agree they are responsible for. I have had the issue resolved no less than 5 times by different claims experts. Yet i still recieve a bill after I have been told it was paid. Every month for the last 9 months I get a collections notice then i get it resolved and then it starts over. Can I take them to small claims court for defamation of character, and time lost at work as well as my 120 dollar phone bill?

So this lady got out of her 06' Hemi Charger and went in 7/11. I was behind her in line. She bought $50 worth of junk food, soda, ect. Used her Foodstamps to purchase. The clerck questioned her after it said her balance was $900 and saw she was driving a Charger. She explained that the higher her car payment the more money she got because transportation is a necessity. Does this not seem like A HUGE RIP OFF!!!! My pay check is going towards her Hemi and twinkies. Can she be reported for fraud?? (Stupid Federal Government)

I went to a case management hearing. The only thing being disputed is one bill. I had said that i think it was his responsibility because i was under his insurance at the time and we were married of course. Well now i am thinking just to get this divorce over with I will pay for the bill. Am i allowed to call the mediator back and tell her that i will just pay for it?

alcohol should be illegal? I can't tell you how long and hard I've thought about this. So many peoples lives are ruined and taken by the use of alcohol. I have a friend who's son's life is controlled by alcohol and has come so close to death! Marijuana hasn't got the effect that alcohol does and it isn't likely to cause someone to get killed in a accident! Alcohol has taken too many innocent lives. Sure, there's the health issue, lung disease...but alcohol distroys the liver. Does anyone fell as strongly about this as I do?

My son has a son with a girl who is an illegal alien. He lives in NJ and he gave her permission to take the baby to Cal. since it would be easier for her. She has relatives out there and he thought he was doing something good for her. This is what she wanted, but now she says she won't come back, ever, so we can't see the baby. She doesn't want my son involved in her life. Doesn't my son have any rights as the father and a US citizen? He sends money to help support the baby and is perfectly willing to do this, but he wants the baby back in NJ so he can be part of his life. Now she's threatening to take the baby back to her country. One of the lawyers he went to told him Cal. has jurisdiction and (off the record) he should just go to Cal. and 'bring' the baby back. Isn't there any legal, right way to handle this? Please help, he misses his son and I really miss my grandson. The baby is only 5 months old.

I have worked for a co. fr 3 years as a sales associate. Recently i have picked up a second night job to help support my nephew and single sister, since the father has choose to not be there. I have already had a meeting with the gm re: the owners concerns. hes worried that to the public eye it looks ike our co. is going under because i'm bartending a few nights a week. i know how it goes in this co. they'll piss me off enough and try to get me to quit. what can i say to the owner to smooth things over, and get him to realize who cares what other people think, this is reality. i dont have to support my sister i choose to because i love her more than anything in this world. Basically what i have to say so far is: Why do people work? To pay bills and support there families, and thats what i am doing. I never signed any moonlighting policy. is there an actual policy enforced by the state of Vermont? Can i keep my other job?
