I have been taking care of this person for the entire year.
Also can I claim "head of house" if i lived with my father? I claimed "head of house" in 2004 an I lived with my Uncle, it did not cuase any problem (i don't think).
Also, if I claim my child and the person over the age of 18 and I made under 30k in 2006 what will my income tax return look like roughly?

You have to be the legal guardian of that person to claim him/her. (A court has to rule that situation)

If you don't have that, you cannot claim him/her. (Otherwise, everyone would get a homeless person to write them off their taxes).

Edit: Some of these people will get you in jail. The person HAS TO BE legally related to you, or you have to have legal custody, or that person lives with you THE ENTIRE YEAR, and not be claimed by anyone else. To miss that invites an audit. See the link below.

(PS to the lady who claimed her boyfriend, I hope he qualified, or good luck in prison. )

I'm not sure about head of household, but you can claim an adult on your taxes. I used to support my older brother and I claimed him.
edit
no court needs to make any order my brother did not make enough money under $5000 and I was able to claim him.

You don't have to be someones legal guardian to claim them. I claimed my out of work boyfriend one year because it was me who was head of household and I supported him.
