No, a person should be allowed to do whatever they need to do to get by

I don't think it should be against the law but it should be written in the employment guidelines of any job that you are not allowed to accept other employment from a competitor while being employed by said company. Any company that is not a competitor should be fair game. This should be an issue between the employer/employee; not the state or government.

Not at all. Not everyone's primary job pays a good wage. And not everyone has the ability to get a higher paying job, for whatever reason.

Here in Los Angeles, the cost of living is EXTREMELY high. Minimum wage workers need at least 2 jobs to meet household expenses.

No. This isn't Communist Russia where the state determines what you do and how you provide for your family. Each of us can decide how much of our time we want to commit to providing labor in the labor markets.
