Does anyone know Calif. Laws or anyone in Az. who can help me get my tortoise back? I have loved and cared for my desert tortoise who is 65 years old and nearly blind for 20 years. I took him with me to Az last year while I was caring for my Father. After I lost my Dad and was planning to return home to Ca. Someone took my turtle out of my yard. I called The Game and Fish Dept. to ask if I could post flyers around town and offer a reward. 3 weeks later they came and took him away from me. The guy could tell how upset I was and he knew how much I loved him as I cried hysterically when he took him. Now after nearly 5 months and 3 court appearances I have to go to trial. They said they were doing DNA testing on him to see if he was born in Az. or Ca. Is that a bunch of bull or what? What difference does it make when I have had him long before there was a law about owning them? I need someone who knows that type of law. Please help. I have written 2 senators a Mayor and Gov. of Ca.

Taxes

What Happened?
At first I thought this was funny...
then I realized the awful truth of it.
Be sure to read all the way to the end!

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,
Tax the table
At which he's fed.

Tax his tractor,
Tax his mule,
Teach him taxes
Are the rule.

Tax his cow,
Tax his goat,
Tax his pants,
Tax his coat.

Tax his ties,
Tax his shirt,
Tax his work,
Tax his dirt.

Tax his tobacco,
Tax his drink,
Tax him if he
Tries to think.

Tax his cigars,
Tax his beers,
If he cries, then
Tax his tears.

Tax his car,
Tax his gas,
Find other ways
To tax his ***

Tax all he has
Then let him know
That you won't be done
Till he has no dough.

When he screams and hollers,
Then tax him some more,
Tax him till
He's good and sore.

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in
Which he's laid.

My friend and I were in the fastlane on the freeway probably going 55 mph. the traffic slowed down to 10-20 mph very abruptly and a collision with the car in front of us almost occurred. Traffic started moving forward again, then she (my friend) began to move forward and we looked at each other with the thought of "WOW, that WAS close" (It was for a split second) Then when we looked back to the road, the car in front of us was now completley stopped and sure enough we hit them. We do not know what happened. We don't know if a collision had already occured and we drove into it.We also don't know if she hit the car and then caused that car to hit the car in front of it and so on until 5 cars became involved. We were in a newer Ford truck (full size)I've been told by a reliable source that a vehicle would have a hard time causing that large of a chain reaction going roughly 30-35 mph...Fortunatley, almost everybody involved seemed OK, and no airbags deployed... This is where I need your advice, My friend did not have her policy renewed since 4-5 months ago. The police officer took her old policy number anyways and let us go. She doesn't know what to do and I don't know what to tell her. She doesn't care about the truck but is scared beyond belief about all the other cars and drivers. Her truck was still able to opperate.I need sound advice to help calm her down, She thinks her life is over... Please, honesty is good but don't try and scare us more unless you know it's the absolute truth. Yes she knows her policy was probably expired but she didn't know it happened 4-5 months ago. I know this girl, she is a good person, The only reason she didn't have insurance is because she has no money, She doesn't drink or smoke and is still barely scraping by paycheck to paycheck, All her money is going to her lawyer expenses from a bad divorce, and all the bills associated with it. This just happened today Does somebody out there know what she might be facing?

This is just hypothetical, it doesn't apply to me at all. It's just of those random thoughts we all get from time to time.

The parents gave me their 2 year old to enjoy for the evening. They expressed nothing to me about parental consent for anything. They just said I should have a good time. While at the mall I gave the 2 year old akid's haircut thinking it was something I would do along with other things we were doing at the mall. The parents were angry. It was a mistake. They now tell me I needed their permission. They never sait that before. They are taking out a lawsuit for $20,000 for intentionally cutting the child's hair and they want money for damages.
I have spoken to the Father and he wants a cheque now!!!
What is the solution outside of getting a lawyer???? Was the parent's correct in their outlook onthis problem???
Do I have any rights as a good friend of the family???? Am I suppose to pay for this mistake???

Instead, the individual took all deceased's personal and business property to different location without administrator's knowledge, to a different location, where property was dispursed to unknown persons. Total worth worth greater than $5,000. Is this a case of theft from the Estate and could charges be filed by the administrator of the Estate. If so, to whom should the administrator contact. This is a case of property being brought from Florida to the State of Arkansas.

I have a friend that has been convicted of a child abuse felony in Missouri and he's about to have it dropped from his record. Could he regain custody of his child? We are the foster parents of this child and are about to get guardianship of the child, but we would have no problem giving her back to him once he gets everything ironed out(We have reason to believe he's innocent).

I work at a facility in Virginia where many young children, mostly girls, take classes. It's in a small town where everybody pretty much knows everybody. Recently, there's been a man hanging around the building for hours at a time every night who's been giving everybody the creeps. Nobody recognizes him. He'll walk around the building a couple of times, then maybe look in the window. He repeats this over and over for maybe three to four hours until closing. One time he even knocked on the locked door after closing, trying to get someone to open up. The police has had to come at least twice because of him. He's a very shady character. He says he's waiting for a ride, but that really makes no sense. He won't go away and I'm wondering if this could be considered stalking, or any other crime. Also, what action can we take to make sure he goes away for good? We want a safe environment for our students, their parents, and ourselves. Please help!

know none of us have magic ball, but I was talking to my professor and he said that the continent of Africa is going thru it's dark ages, mainly because of Imperialism. He also concluded that it would take the next 200-500 years before they ever really unscramble. I guess in the grand scheme of long term history 200-500 yrs is not a long time.

MY QUESTION FOR YOU

1. Do you all think that he is right?
2. Do you think that the any of the African nations will ever rise to world power status?

Just a question all can answer
