Most crimes have a Statue of Limitations. What exactly the time frame is depends on the crime committed and where you committed it.

I believe even if you ran off, they could still charge you with the crime, so the statute of limitations would not have run out. The limitation applies to charging you, but, they don't need to catch you to charge you.

In some states, like Virginia, there at the instant are not any statutes of limitations for felonies, of which rape is... a legal, it is. undesirable premise = rubbish in = rubbish out. There are certainly many diverse categories of crimes: misdemeanors, felonies, crimes against people, crimes touching directly to wellbeing and protection, crimes against the administration of justice, and so forth. So, definite, "against the regulation is basically against the regulation" in case you could not manage the complexities of the real international. "To oversimplify is to lie."

There is a statute of limitations on many crimes. It depends mostly on where you live and where it happened I believe.

In pretty much all crimes except murder, you have to be charged within a certain amount of time.
Once you're charged, there's no time limit on how long they have to catch you.
