Is it okay for a 17 year old to have sexual intercourse with a 15 year old?

It completely depends on what state you are in. Statutory rape laws vary by state. Further, states vary on what age is defined as adulthood. In Missouri, 17 is an adult, whereas some other states treat 17-year-olds as juveniles.

Additionally, some statutory rape laws include an acceptable range difference in age between victim and offender (meaning that the law may specify that statutory rape only occurs when the offender is at least 3 years older than the victim).

In most states, age of consent is 16

so a 17 year old would be convicted of stautory rape if he/she has sex with a 15 year old.

It does depend of the laws of your state, but I’d venture to say that in MOST states this would be illegal. Also, be aware that there are other laws that you need to be concerned with too, such as child molestation.
