Democrats have a long history of attacking the 2nd Amendment and gun rights. Whether it was Bill Clinton signing the Brady Bill (a draconian law which deeply affected millions of Americans) or Ray Nagin confiscating firearms from law-abiding people in their time of dire need, Democrats are known for the contempt in which they hold the 2nd Amendment. How can we best ensure that the assult on our Constitution and our rights is defeated?

You can't. I don't think anybody in political office holds any part of the Constitution in contempt. I think they are trying to make the country safe for everyone.
Your best bet to ensure that you are heard, is to go out and vote, and convince others to do the same.

Conservatives still hold an ideological majority in Congress I believe.
I can't see newly elected Democrats like Jim Webb supporting gun control bills.

honestly, being blue as...something blue...people couldn't care less at the moment. The only problem i have with guns is that they get into the hands of retarted people...and since i doubt you sell your guns out of the back of your truck...my people could care less...if you dont kill anyone...than everyone starts to pms...its too much paperwork...

I don't know the answer but I must ask a question.How stupid are the people who want to try and take our guns?Just one statistic for now and that is;There are more violent crimes in New York City and Wash.D.C.than anywhere in the U.S.A. and it's illegal to have a gun there.Only the illegal scum have guns and they know that you don't!!!!

Oh don't worry about it. The First Amendment has managed to hold up under the assault from the Republicans so I'm sure the Second Amendment will be okay.
