the rising price of oil/gas (even people who dont own cars and drive pay higher taxi cost, fuel to heat their homes etc)
bateria such a e-coli in our food sources
threat of terrorism
social security (is it adequate for minimal suvival for the ones now receiving it, will the baby boomers have it, will their children end up paying in more etc)
violence -everyone is a potential victim

I have an idea for an issue you should research. How about substance abuse. THis kind of topic for me has always picked up heads when I talked about it and won me a great prize on a high school open discussion topic. If that does not work another good topic would be on how to avoid eating at fast food restauraunts to avoid this E-Coli outbreak.

Road Rage
Why teens are cutting/slashing/self-mutilating in vast number since 2004? Do they really want to destroy themselves?
My daughter is going to counseling for this, and I read 4 books including The Bright Red Scream, and I still dont' understand it. They say it's an addiction.
