If I play all freeroll tournaments, and use my winnings to win in pay tournaments, are my winnings legal, since I've never made a deposit (and therefore not gambling)?

Poker (I assume you're talking about that, not many people freeroll slot machines) is a game of skill anyway, which isn't covered by the current law. That law's only in effect for games of chance (like slot machines).

Furthermore, its only illegal for you to transfer money from a credit or bank card to an online gambling site. A check, money order or money wire is still legal. Since you're not transferring from a card, you've definitely found away around the law. So yes, its a loophole.

Not sure about loopholes, but the state of Washington just passed a new law that makes ANY internet gambling a Class C Felony. Washington is littered with Casino's, many on or close to indian reservations. Yet, they pass a law that says you can gamble anywhere in the state except for in the privacy of your own home. Ha ha.
