What experiences have you had with crooked cops?
I was in New Orleans at a club and we were smoking pot in the VIP. A cop in uniform with a gun walked in. My friends and I being from out of town got nervous and tried to hide the blunt. We looked at the other people in the room with us and they said it was OK, Then the cop said it was ok. His exact words were, "I dont care what ya'll do in here. I'm getting paid to be here."

I know there are cops that do take their job seriously, but cops are human too. They molest people, steal, lie...
Don't get me wrong I am grateful he did not do anything. They are letting little laws slide, but what else do they turn their backs to.

My mom was dating a cop when I was younger and he always used to bring us kids really cool gifts and stuff. Turns out he was accepting stolen property as bribes to not turn people in. He got caught though and has been in prison for six years.

That's not a crooked cop, that's a smart cop. A blunt is just an infraction, a ticket, not even worth his time. Lookin' to bust someone who is selling or committing some other serious crime, that's what you want a cop to do, not hassle someone for a stinkin' blunt.
There are crooked cops. I've known a few in my time. Pray you never actually run into one.

I was driving in a dark alleyway near a downtown area lost and saw the only road going the other direction (back out of the bad neighborhood) required me to take a u-turn near a lane with a "no u-turn" sign. So I took the turn and a saw a cop about 50 meters behind me. I slowed down and he slowed down as well never turning on his lights or giving a hand signal to pull over and never getting within 50 meters of my car...it was like he was teasing me thinking "hahaha am I going to pull you over or not?!".
Finally I gave up and completely stopped my car in a parking area and turned it off then turned it on to drive forward. It took about 1 second for my headlight lights to flash back then I touched the gas and drove forward a bit so the cop could pull in behind me but in front of the parked car behind me.
Then he finally pulled up and turned on his lights. He went up to my car and said "what the h @ ll was that?" and I said "my fault, I know, should not have taken that u-turn" and gave him my license to look over and turned off the car. He then asks for my insurance paper and says "why were you driving with your lights off (referring to when I flashed my headlights on and off for one second)". Then I said "I'm sorry the car was honestly parked before I moved so you could pull in".
Next he went on "you talking back to me, huh?" and I said "no I made an illegal u-turn now I'll take the ticket no big deal". So he went on "is there weed in this car, drugs?" then asks me to open my trunk. I do and he sees Radio Shack speaker wires (for my car's sound system) and an empty Coleman cooler and he tries to make me admit I was having a cocktail party drinking from that cooler and the wires were for explosives. He then makes me stand on one foot and I do it for about a full 90 seconds (good thing I'm a skater I can balance like that) and then shake a little sideways (without hopping) and he tells his friend officer in the car "looks maybe a bit drunk to me, what do you think?" Then he says it'll have to go to court I tell him for undeniable proof to take my blood alcohol level with a machine and record it, he can't and doesn't have the machine with him. I say well I reserve the right to tell the court he doesn't have direct proof.
He then looks a bit stumped and turns around and says "uh, well that thing y'all did at the stoplight, you're lucky I didn't give you the ticket but....just don't do that again".
Geez what cops will try sometimes for a few extra brownie points...I figure catching a DWI must pay really well or HR in the police department doesn't guard well against hiring overgrown bullies in law enforcement. Shouldn't those goons be handling more important crimes?

In my state the Lonoke Police Chief, Ronald Jay Campbell was charged with a slew of felonies. They included manufacturing methamphetamine, hindering prosecution, burglary and theft. And his wife was charged with burglary and theft, too, as well as with taking inmates from the city jail for sex and providing them with drugs and alcohol.

Lets see him try to bust you all. This is one of the shoot and ask questions later. If he were to say you're under arrest he'd probably get his a** beat.
