Allow me to go contrary to the mantra "it's my body, I do as I please" when it is used as an excuse to become a parent w/out the consent of your mate. I am very contrary to this because people seem to forget that a child is a fruit of 2 individuals, and that the one cannot become a parent w/out the other. This is valid physically and psychologically as well. I think it is very immature to elevate any parent's function above the other one's just like it is necessary for a child to be brought up by both parents. I am very disappointed to hear all this nonsense about free will and the like. No one is ever asking the child if it wishes to come into this world, the least we can do is respect their right to a balanced family environment. All the rest is arguments rooted in politics and lip service to this or that social group's distorted views and interests. I am not implying by this that any should have an abortion contrary to their will, just that it is best to impregnate oneself thru a mate that is interested in pursuing parentship and family. Otherwise, the person that becomes impregnated without the consent of or contrary to the will of the other person is, in my view just taking away the right of choice of that person, as well as their seed. Now why is that ethically legitimate??

No one has the right to tell anyone that they MUST have an abortion. If this is happening to you take your baby and run. If he doesnt want it thats his problem, but think of that baby. If he would try to force you to do something like that then you probably wont be with him long anyway, that baby will be a part of you forever, likewise, a forced abortion will hang over your head for the rest of your life. Im not trying to preach to you, I believe in a womans right to choose what happens to her body, but NEVER let a man make that choice for you. If he doesnt want the baby, tell him you can do it alone, and trust me, YOU CAN! AND... there are a billion other guys on this planet, and a billion ones that would be proud to raise the baby as their own.

If I get pregnant on purpose and the other person did not want me to get pregnant then I would consider my rights to collect child support as null and void.
