I had another appointment with Dr Vincent Lai today for a further check up at 3:00 pm. However, due to my office need, I could have been a little late, so I called his office to see if I could be late or reschedule this appointment for another day.

The receptionist was very rude at both times I dealt with her. She was saying things with no respect, forceful with very rude tones. She was telling me that I would have to suffer if I did not show up, I had no respect to the office, and would not give me another schedule. I kept telling her that all I want to do was to see the possibility of rescheduling, but she kept blaming me by saying it was my fault, I had to show up, with very loud and rude voice.

I have been to many different doctor offices in the past but never dealt with such a rude, disrespectful and unprofessional personnel.

Would it be wrong to change my last name to my daughter's (her sperm donor's) last name? Could my husband and I do it legally without any repercussions? Her sperm donor does not have any contact (of his own free will) but he won't give up his rights. Which I don't understand, but that's another story. My husband is willing to do it, as he has no ties to his current last name. Do you think it is possible?

I don't have much room so here it goes.

I have considerable reason to believe adult protective services
is accusing me of a crime. Specifically threatening to kill my
mom.

I've never been asked if its true and even had the cops called on
me.

I think I have a legal problem and have a right to avoid them even
though they have a job to do. I think I'm obviously the target and
would be a moron to submit to an interview without legal counsel
present. Only one problem. I don't have a lawyer.

I have checked some things out however I'm not sure.
On one hand I can refuse to talk to them. On the other
they can get a court order.

If I think I'm in real legal trouble, can I refuse to be questioned
or submit to an interview?

Question must be answered before November 28.
Best answer determined by legal input and links.

I like to be helpful, as much as possible. I consider myself an expert at helping mankind in general.
But sometimes, I read questions, you know the ones... the "I AM 13 AND MY GIRLFRIEND I LUV HER SHUD I GET MARRIED".. and then I just have to write something like.. "If it feels right, just do it! in fact, you know what else feels right? sweet self inflicted DEATH!!! after you marry your little sister's best friend, you should finish off your journey to adulthood by drinking everything in the medicine cabinet, and dont forget about the stuff under the kitchen sink!! and if that doesn't do the trick, stuff a potato in mom's minivan and go for a ride down the tunnel.. you'll know your in the right place because there will be a light at the end of it!" so um yeah answer my question PLZ IS IT BAD

I had someone hit my car and drive off in the parking lot. I wasn't around to see them hit my car but when I came out of the building after a few hours at work. My car had a huge dent in it about the size of a basketball. I was so upset. I know about the insurance claim but it's the fact I have to drive around like this with my nice car. It looks awful because of someone not knowing how to park their car or drive or whatever they were trying to do. He probably tried to whip it in real fast, thinking that they had control of it and...Bam! hit my car. Was like "Oh, Sh*t!" and drove off like, "Not my problem!" Really fu*ked up, I think! What do you think of this and would you drive off if you hit someone's car, and put a really huge dent in someone's nice car, almost like new?

When you're a law clerk who has passed the bar, did your employer acknowledge your efforts and give you a cut of the attorney fees for the work you put in before passing? In other words, did you receive a fair share of the pie (i.e. 10% of the 1/3 award) for the work you performed while still a clerk, or did your attorney "cut" only begin on cases you brought/started working on after your bar passage?

I am not talking about fee sharing with a non-attorney, but with an employee that was a non-attorney, but now is an attorney at the time a case is resolved (and attorney fees are to be taken from the settlement/award). Thanks!
