I had someone hit my car and drive off in the parking lot. I wasn't around to see them hit my car but when I came out of the building after a few hours at work. My car had a huge dent in it about the size of a basketball. I was so upset. I know about the insurance claim but it's the fact I have to drive around like this with my nice car. It looks awful because of someone not knowing how to park their car or drive or whatever they were trying to do. He probably tried to whip it in real fast, thinking that they had control of it and...Bam! hit my car. Was like "Oh, Sh*t!" and drove off like, "Not my problem!" Really fu*ked up, I think! What do you think of this and would you drive off if you hit someone's car, and put a really huge dent in someone's nice car, almost like new?

I would not EVER do that because I am a good driver!

You won't get a ticket because you were on privately owned property (as opposed to a public roadway). If the lady were goning to make a claim, she would have had the police write a report of property damage on the scene. More importantly, there is no excuse for running into a buggy in a parking space. You were not driving carefully enough. It is your job to avoid obstacles and that is a common one. I hope you never drive like that in a parking lot that me and my children must walk through.

Ok, I can relate cuz i've hit someone. Although I can say it is really ****** up not to say or do anything in that kind of situation. See, I actually said something to the car I hit, and they were ok with it. On the contrary they also didn't know what happened and were glad I went up to them. It's opposite cuz it was my car that got the dent. If my car was new like yours (a truck? Hehe I want one) hell yeah i'd be furious, and prolly bust a cap up their ***. lol.

No I wouldn't drive off I'd try to find the person and if I couldn't I'd call the police but here in pa they only want you to call in a car accident only if some gets hurt but I do it anyway to get a accident report regardless or I'd leave them a note with my phone number on it explaining that I hit their car and will exchange my insurance with them at a later time since I couldn't track them down right after I hit their car.

I'm a liability adjuster, and I get this claim at least 3 times a day. There are ALOT of people that do this, and it drives me nuts! At some point, someone will hit those peoples cars too (it's inevitable at some point isn't it?), and they will forget that they did it too, and be furious.

I've done it before when I was in college. Then someone did it to me about a year ago. Karma's a *****.
