I was just wondering if i can get my permit the same day i go and take the tests to get it. Will i take it, get the scores and then be able to drive that same day? My mom and i were wondering because we are not sure. I dont know if it varies from state to state but i live in Ohio. Can we get my permit packet, have me go and take the tests, get my permit, and then me drive all within the same day? thank you in advance!!

it says in the "Digest of Ohio Motor Vehicle Laws" that i must answer 75% if the answers correctly. If i do that can i take care of everything all in one day?

you can not get you permit the same day you take the test to get it because there are other people who are taking the test. The have to process the test and look it over and so many others are doing the same thing as you. So if you need your permit on a cetain day i would suggest you to go and take the test about a month before you need it to be on the safe side.

Yes if you pass the test you get your permit the same day. When I went I got my picture taken, I took my test, the lady graded it, I passed and then she handed me my permit so I got to drive the day I took the test :] I live in California so it might be different but I doubt it. Im almost positive you will get it the same day.

well i dont know if its the same for all states either but i just got my permit. when you go to take the test, it will tell you if you get an answer wrong every answer u get wrong it will show you. then when youre done with the test you go to the poeple and they will print up your permit and you can drive the same day until dark

U will get ur permit the same day. When u get ur permit u only take a sign test and computer test. U only drive when u get ur license. I live in Charlotte, NC and at least that is how we do it here.

Ok...im getting mine hopefully tomorrow. For us in New Orleans our rules were that you have about 20 questions but you can only get 4 questions wrong. If you get 5 you fail. Then you have to pass your vision test. Then you take your picture and you can get your permit in the same day.
