The advantage of ending censorship or prohibition is that the "naughty" or "super cool" factor fades fast. Legalise heroin and let users sign a legal declaration that they are are addicts and watch the heroin rate initially rise and then eventually plummet.drop. Study the US alcohol Prohibition of the 1930s which resulted in organised crime, violence and killings. Shouldn't prohibition be limited to specific categories of citizens such as minors and felons?

FBI agents monitoring Internet chat rooms used by extremists learned in recent months of the plot to strike a blow at the city's economy by destroying vital transportation networks, one official said.

I'm stepping on the toes of (and will be paraphrasing) George Carlin when I ask this, but I've yet to recieve an actual answer.

How is it that "the FCC, an unappointed body, not elected, decided all on it's own that television and radio were the only two parts of American life not governed by the free speech provision of the first amendment to the Constitution?"

I just don't understand what made the regulation of public television and radio legal. The first amendment says "Congress shall make no law...abridging the freedom of speech." So, how is it that the Federal Communications Commission can regulate what people say or do on public television and radio?

I ask purely in the interest of intellectual enlightenment on my own part, and not to try to start an argument. I really would like to know.

The conditions in Louisiana and Mississippi are atrocious and it seems that all those millions of dollars should have made more of a change there than the very slow rebuilding that has been going on. Where is the money and who is in charge of it? How is it being handled to help in rebuilding? Why is there STILL a mass of debris and destruction everywhere?

In my view we should not let these animals back in society and put our women and children in danger? Remember Wayne Gacy? He was a sexual offender and we all know what he did.

I just came back from Tasmania and that place is covered with opium farms sponsored by the USA! Farmers in Tasmania receive cash incentives and gifts (cars) from the USA for growing poppies. It seems that there are secrets kept down under down under. I hope the C.I.A. doesn't come knocking on my door now...

we loaned some money to a family member. they repaid us. they have since filed bankrucpty and the trustee has sent us a letter stating that we need to return the money. are we leaglly responsible to return money that was ours to begin with? trustee says they can go back for 1 year of the family members debts and ask for them to be returned so that the creditors holding notes can be paid first. as far as we know the bankrupcty was not filed until after the money was return to us and there was no note held on the loan it was done in good faith. if we are leaglly responsible to return the money what are the legall actions that can be taken against us if we do not?
