You can take legal action: if you can prove-with substantial evidence-they are the author and it is a false allegation, it caused damage to your professional, money making reputation and has caused pain and suffering.
If so, get a lawyer and go to town!

You could try, but I seriously doubt it would hold up in court....if you could even get a lawyer to take the case.
You'd have to have some pretty solid evidence that this person did it or you'd be wasting money in lawyer fees and court costs.

HELL YES! That's BS. THey can't do that. Your buisiness is yours. You might have to put some doe for experts to examine the letter. DNA from where they licked it, hand writing, or if they haven't handled it too much, fingerprints.
I feel for you. That's crap.
