Please only give legitimate answers and I don't need preached to. My ex cheated on me, left me, sued for custody, then left the state, I hardly see my son and I still have to pay child support, I've tried lawyers and they want more money than I can afford. Could I relinquish my rights as a parent and stop this insanity?

Anyone who has lived in India and had to deal with any government department will vouch for the rampant corruption prevalent there. From petty beat constable to the cabinet ministers, everyone seems to be in the vicious grip of corruption. This is what bogs down the progress of Indian society.

OK I was complaining about how smut pervades the airwaves but I admit I like South Park. It's ironic, satirical, intelligent and funny. However, kids should NOT be watching it. Kids (and even some adults) cannot detect irony so they still get morally corrupted. It's pretty naive for people to assume that just because it's on at night that kids won't see it, kids as young as 8 even. While I think it should be the parents' job to make sure that kids don't watch it, too many parents aren't doing their jobs, so...? What do you think?

such as the ten commandments outside a court house and the govt. has it removed that that is going against the constitution and religious persecution. when the State has it removed then they are persecuting Christians (an overwelming majority of the nation). When a judge has something outside his court or whatever govt. institution then that is his beleive, not the govt's.

I told my boss I could not work for him if he continued yelling, cursing, & making sexual remarks to me. (I had walked out of the office 3 times prior due to his yelling & cursing.) This time I mentioned the "sexual remarks" issue. Once I said that, his exact words were: "Get the F*** out of his office. You make me sick. You'll never be successful in any job because you need serious help. Go on, get your things and get out of here. I can't even look at you!" So I left. My question is: Was I fired? I was hoping by bringing to his attention my issues, I would not have to quit. I never had the chance to discuss it any further. Once I mentioned the sexual remarks, he pointed towards the door & said to get out. Is that Retaliation? Do I have a case? If so, is it in my best interest to sue? Is it worth my time? I need to find a job asap. I am so angry that bosses think that since they own the company that they can treat their employees like that. What shoud I do?

for whatever reason the people next door keep throwing "good stuff" over the fence into my yard, shoes, shirts, balls. and so far I have placed the items back into their yard but I would like to know since they are doing it on purpose can I keep what I want or throw it away if I dont want or need it and dont feel like giving it back. I am getting tired of returning all these things.

(Revised from previous question).
A speeding train without a conductor is headed on a track towards 10 people who are tied down to the track. Right before the train would run over these people, there is a track that branches off. On this other track is 1 person tied down to it.

You cannot stop the train. However, you have a lever in your hand which can alter the train's path towards the 1 person if you pull it. Otherwise, the train heads toward the 10 people.

Do you pull the switch, knowing that you will have directly caused the death of an innocent person?

When I look at fuel consumption figures of average family vehicles over the past 40 years (we are talking about 4-door sedans of the most average, decade-specific specs), I can't help but notice that their fuel consumption has stayed largely the same (only applies to non-US vehicles, which seem to have doubled their fuel efficiency some time in the 1980s through the more general introduction of fuel injection and overdrives). It may well be true that cars have been able to deliver ever more performance while delivering the same fuel consumption over the decades - but would it not be wiser to utilize the increased power efficiency of our motors to perform at an even level over decades, but reduce fuel consumption? This seems logical. It just isn't done. I wonder whether there are quiet agreements between the oil- and car industries to keep consumption steady, with the car industry "excusing" relatively lame increases in fuel economy through improved performance, and a demand for it?
