i reported her missing. she's been gone a week. only took a few items. i havent heard anything from her. is it against the law to sell the furniture, and other random household items that are in the apartment. i am on the lease.

You probably have every right to sell the furniture. You have it, so it's yours unless someone can prove it is not (receipt, etc). The worst that can happen is that she can come back and sue you for the value of the items, but that seems like a long shot.

Your Mom ....... Wow um yeah you need to get her off the lease if she is on it. After a month or 2 you can sell the items because they were abandoned. But I think you have to wait and store them until then. however, if you change the locks!!!!! The stuff will still be there for you to sell and she can not sue you

Why would you automatically want to sell your moms furniture? Did you have something to do with the fact that she's missing? If you didn't, why would you ask this question? I think you are the number 1 suspect!

You have a PROBLEM, the problem it's you and then your mother. I feel she's okay and that you will too, just by looking at your picture. Both of you are just as equal, she's okay just like you're here tonight asking about what's wrong and right.

wow i am sorry i think you are in trouble , before selling any furniture why you need it to sell think may be there will be anothere method if your question is for survival

ide be more worried about my credit.....i live with my gf..and we rent a apt with this old man..he's a lonely old buddy of mine with no family..but i wonder what will happen if he dies..and my gf's name is on the lease..if we cannot pay...will she get an eviction on her credit?
