Must be one hell of a pepper grinder lol
4 years is a long time. Set his stuff at the door like you should have 4years ago. You broke up last thing I would want is a house full of bad memories. Stop wasting the courts time. You both need to grow up!

If you still have his clothes give those back and keep the rest, unless something you have is a family heirloom of his. Don't go to court over a pepper grinder; it's not worth the hassle.

LOL! Let him take you to court, he will be laughed all the way out of it (for a pepper grinder?) Give me a break!

He probably just wants attention - make sure not to get mad whenever he demands his sh-- back. Just smile politely and say NO.

I am not shure witch state you are in but here is something to think about. since you was not married and if his mailing address is different from the residence he left the items at, there is thing called statue and limitation. 4 yrs is well past that. or what you can do is call them gifts from him, when you where together there is alot of different ways to go about this matter but also keep in mind possession is 9/10 of the law

If you have a witness who heard him say that it would make your case that much more of an open and shut one.
However, you've got the element of elapsed time on your side too.
Four years after the fact should more than satisfy any court that he had abandoned his possessions.
The court will also realize his pettiness in bringing proceeding against you after all this time too.
My guess is he's bluffing... and even if he isn't don't give in. Countersue for your court expenses.

Call Judge Judy. He abandon the stuff and he is looking to give you a hard time. He will get nothing and it will be laughed out of the court room.

Try not to laugh at your ex-bf to hard. After 90 days (I think) it is considered abandon and the judge if it gets that far is going to laugh at him enough. Unless you do still have all his stuff? Then just give it back to him or at least what you do still have. But I would consult a lawyer.

I wouldn't be too concerned. Afterall possession is 9/10 of the law. I don't think anything like that will hold up in court so dont fret.

I'd give them back if you have them, just get him out of your life completely. If he left them behind and you no longer have them then tell him they're at the Salvation Army. If you gave you something as a gift it's yours to keep, but return the clothes that belong to him.

Thylawyer was right on the money when he said to demand storage fees. He abandoned his property. He has no right to leave his junk somewhere and expect it to still be there four years later (and check the statute of limitations on this; it might be too late for him). He is just a stupid little child who wants your attention.
