No there is no set National Pay day! corporations pay their employees whenever they want as long as they acctually do pay them!

Did you ask about the paydays and pay periods before working for this person/company? If not, then it is not against the law. That's one of the questions I ask before accepting a job offer. I want to know...when do you say I'm going to get my money. Once an offer is on the table, if you're not asking for more money or differnt hours or something outside of the contract, it can't be rescinded unless you falsified information. So they can't legally rescind the offer for you asking a simple question, but you can decline the offer if you don't like the answer. LOL

I have always been told that they have to pay you on the designated pay day (1st and 15th or every other Friday depending on the company) unless the pay day falls on a weekend or holiday. Then they have to pay you on the last day available before the designated day.
I had been told it is illegal for employers to hold payroll past payday because years ago, companies would withhold payroll to gain an extra day-or-two's worth of interest on that money.
Now if you are paid on commissions, there might be different rules, I don't know.

If you are saying that your company has a SET pay day but is chronically late time after time, you can perhaps complain to the Federal Labor Board and see if there is anything they can do, at least it may get your employer's attention.
Otherwise, your company can pay according to their own guidelines. For example, state of Texas employees only get paid once a month. Good luck.

Same thing happens to me on occasion not so sure about the legalities but is certainly a poor way to run a bus sines Makes for very disgruntled employees and an unhappy employee is definitely not going to be as productive so it does in a way hurt the business to do this type of thing

say you work for a company and the company's pay dates are the 1st and 15th of the month.. you should always be paid on those dates. NEVER later, but you may get paid earlier if those dates fall on a weekend or a holiday.

That is up to landlord. Yes he can evict for non-payment of rent because partial rent is the same as not paying at all. You might try to arrange for payment extension with landlord but if he gave you eviction notice, obviously you have not tried to work it out and would rather keep your rent money and be evicted. It looks like you will be getting a cheaper apartment or asking for government assistance. You can be sued for the rent and a judgment is good for 10 years and it ruins your credit.

It is not legal if a payday schedule has been set up for your company. You would have to find out from the Labor Board in your state what the law is regarding late pay. In the state I live in, they have to pay you a certain percentage of your check for each day they are late.

It depends like if someone gets hurt in your company like if your janitor just moped and forgot to put the sign up and someone fell and hurt them selves and then sued then yes because it cost $ to get out of that situation . But if it doesn't have any thing to do with law or money issues then probally not!!

Not illegal....There have been quite a few times that my fiance doesn't get paid on time. Easy way to fix that problem, get direct deposit.
