Why does the USA finance opium poppy farmers in Tasmania?

I just came back from Tasmania and that place is covered with opium farms sponsored by the USA! Farmers in Tasmania receive cash incentives and gifts (cars) from the USA for growing poppies. It seems that there are secrets kept down under down under. I hope the C.I.A. doesn't come knocking on my door now...

With funds it obtains through this venture the CIA sponsors terrorist acts such as the 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing in Beirut, Lebanon and the 9/11 WTC attack. It has been estimated that up to 75% of all Big Macs are topped with CIA poppy seeds.

I haven't heard about that. Take Afghanistan when the Taliban were there they destroyed almost all of the poppie fields. The powers that be didn't take so kindly to a multi trillion dollar profit being lost. Then we went to war with Afghanistan and now the fields, they are a popping with opium producing flowers everywhere. Bet their smiling all the way to the bank. Some of you would be shocked to know who profits.
