We cannot Regulate child birth. Although some people should not have children it is their right. If we as a people try to decide
what is best for others then we start to lose our freedom.
And too many men and women have lost their Lives defending our freedom and our rights would you throw all of that away. A better solution is to end poverty

There are new laws made every day. It's just a matter of time that there will be a law regarding just about everything. Because of over population there will rules and laws on having children. Education and getting good grades won't just be for the getting better jobs ... but it will help decide who gets to live. When the world is more crowded and the life expectancy is even longer ...people will need to earn the right to live.

Sometimes we say "there should be a law against women having so many children" but, the Bible does say be fruitful and multiply. Yes, and I know one should not be stupid. But if women were regulated on how many children she could have then the world would begin to srink because older people would die off and the rate of replacing them would be very small.

Why when the subject of "having children" comes up, everyone's talking about the mothers. Alot of children are deprived and behaviorly challenged because two people make em and then one raises them. I'm a single parent and by no means am I saying people should have kids irresponsibly, but no one goes into a relationship and says...."oh yeah....I'm going to be a single parent in a few years.....good for me and my kids!"...LOL What I see are alot of children being victims of fatherlessness - which is an act of neglect. So does that mean that women should then NOT DATE/MARRY men....that's the only way you'll get this to stop if the responsibility is on the part of the woman. Why not create more social inacceptance of behavior on the part of men. In biblical days....the entire community turned their backs on men who didn't take care of their families...the men were free to leave, but no one paid them any attention...INCLUDING OTHER MEN...now a days you have many men who are responsible, but have many friends who are not and they still treat them with the same respect as if that man is handling his responsibility. They might even affirm their status as an irresponsible male by congratulating them on their latest conquest...telling them that they're brave, lucky, reckless.....I see it all of the time...men just laugh at and WITH other men. I'm not a man hater by the way...just telling it like it is.

Please no! We do not need another law telling us who and how many. I agree poor welfare recipients who abuse the system, and abusers should not be allowed to have children, but for other parents who are not relying on the welfare system and who do not abuse their children should not be told how many kids they can have. It's not fair. All we can do as a society is to help those in need currently and punish those who do wrong. No more laws please?!

I'm a foster/adopt mother. From what I have seen in this system, yes! there should be limits to whom should be allowed to have/raise children. I honestly beleive that loser mothers should be given the option to be sterilized, and even given a $1000 bonus to get it done. Then they can get on with their lives, without hurting anymore innocent children that people like me end up raising and trying to heal the damage inflicted by them.

While I'm sure some of us wish that we would have laws like that, we can't exactly stop the system from being corrupted or hardly enforced.

Then again, does anyone really want something like having only one child like China has?

There should be but there probably will never be. If you want to be a parent you should have to go through an approval process. Some people are just not meant to be parents!!!
