Today, in the news i heard of these 2 men being in custody for plotting a terrorist act for the subway, but they didn't actually carry out the act. Now, i was wondering about this b/c since they didn't actually carry it out it doesn't make sense. i know they had the intent or the motive, but what would they b charged with??? or any other crime they were plotting against for that matter!!

I dont know but I told my x-hubby if his g-friend didnt shut the hell up I was going to stick a 9mm in her mouth and pull the trigger, now I dont own a gun, I was just pissed and I am being charged with terrorist threats in the state of Oklahoma now they dont play with that stuff anymore. I think you are guilty of a crime even if you havent went through with it if you are planning on doing it, I mean if you have enough time to sit around and plot it out you have done some careful thinking. If you just shout it out and dont carrry out the threat or have no intentions of doing it and dont own a gun or any explosives then you didnt do anything but say a bunch of dumb crap out your mouth. But look at the kids in Schools nowdays that are in trouble up to their eyeballs. In Riverton Kansas they planned on shooting up the school they found weapons and are in a crap load of trouble, but yet they didnt carry it out. It is a safeguard. How would you feel if your family would have been on the subway and heard of the threat and called you, it would scare the crap out of you.

I have no idea but I bet they get shipped off to Guantanamo Bay and don't have a civilian trial but rather a military tribunal.

By the way... these guys were only TALKING about it. They didn;t have any explosives, didn't have any money to buy explosives, didn't know how to build bombs, and the FBI isn't really even sure which tunnel they were going after. I'm not defending them and I'm not saying they could not have become dangerous over time. But this was nowhere near the "close call" the TV wants us to believe it was!

if they were Americans, probably treason if they weren't then I don't know...I want someone to be charged with something if they were trying to kill me....I think if my boyfriend was planning a way to create my demise, then maybe he would be charged with attempted murder? It'd have to be the same way with those two men right? Sorry I don't know enough....great question by the way.
