He still believes Iraq is not engaged in a civil war, and that the killings are "criminal acts". He also believes that the main enemy in Iraq is "Al Quida". And, despite overwhelming domestic and international condemnation and demands to redeploy forces out of harm's way, including losing an election to the Dems, he continues to pontificate that he is "staying the course"...

Wonder what the tax rate is in Denial?

They are endangering their lives in a battle that can not be won.Shouldn't we just negotiate with the law breakers ?If we could just set down and talk to them could we work it out?Let the citizens that live in bad neighborhoods handle it themselves.

If the government is talking about leaving Basra within 6 months why don't they just leave now - 6 months won't make a difference just save more soldiers from dying leaving earlier.

Has that become an American tradition let the other guy fight and ide for my political views?

FYI I fought in an unpopular war, Viet Nam, I could not bring my self to vote for either of our last two presidents since they found ways of avoiding service, via student deferments (like Clinton & our VP Chenny) or by the National Guard when the guard wasnt called up, like GWBush.

Is President Bush neutered in the political sense, maybe in the other sense as well? His power came from having the votes in congress and a high approval rating after 911. That has all evaporated. Even his die hard base has second thoughts.

i know they have said that all the money that is in wishing wells could be roughly 3 million mark, but when i was a child and my dad gave me a penny to throw in one, he always said that as long as my penny is in there my wish could come true. as an adult we know its just a fantasy , but i think sometimes we need those type of dreams these days. i know they have said that it would be shared out between charitys but it is still my penny and my wish along with millions of others, i give to charity as do a lot of people and i belive that some things should be left alone for once.

It sounds fitting. None of this chaos would be happening if we had not attacked, invaded and occupied this weakly defended country. I am still not clear why this had to happen,

Do they count as two people? 'Cause really it's just like sticking your arms together with glue.

Like, if one gets charged for murder, do they have to build a brick wall around one of them and they can walk around in prison?
