At what cost to society, or at least, a decent portion of good-people who had their lives under control before the casinos came to town? Why can't it get regulated,at least so that one tribes population is such that their casino could let more people win, and not be so greedy. Why does an Indian-american get more than a doctor ,or cop, or carpenter? Most of his money(in most cases) gets spent on cocaine and limos anyway.

After one day of using Yahoo Answers, I've been asked if I live in Iran and that I'm a retard for wondering if what our country is doing is right . Does this make me a bad person? It seems that some believe so. Let me know what you think, and please dont say 'Move to Canada'. That just shows me you have no valid argument against me.

gun happy and responsible for some war crime and revenge killings, we USA troops really "emotionaly " capable of a hearts and mind game in iraq.. look at the UK .. in most of their porvinces there is peace,, but in USA areas is where violence is the worst.. i think that is because American soliders thinks "shoots first and ask questions later"! not their fault.. they had no cultural training and even though there are a lot of intelligent there are a lot of how should i put it! Under par slodiers in Iraq.. think about it.. the normal infantry solider does not have good A level or a degree. ( but the officers usually have degrees and are vetted for leadership and intelligence etc..
|Cultural training would have solved a lot of probems for the americans.. respecting the iraq people and not flying their colours high with no iraqi flag beside it... **** would you like it if that happened in your country that was just invaded..

Sure we can!!! This nation is in harship in recruiting soldiers in the defence of this nation against REAL terrorist. Lets move them to the border of Iraq and Iran or Syria. Instead of looking for poor men, women and children trying to make a living, they can stop those who are looking to take a life.

in one of our laws in the philippines(PD198), "Sec. 10. Nominations. On or before October 1of each even-numbered year, the secretary of the district SHALL CONTACT each known organization, association, or institution being represented by the director whose term will expire on December 31 and SOLICIT NOMINATIONS from these organizations to fill the position for the ensuing term,"

the issue is instead of sending out letters requesting nomination the secretary of the district published it in a newspaper thereby assuring that only their identified and favored organizations were able to submit nominees. would publication suffice the requirement of "shall contact" and "solicit?"
american jurisprudence is similar to philippine jurisprudence. tnx.

I live abroad now, but will come back to Blighty one day. When I lived there I often got irritated by people making badly thought out rants about asylum seekers, immigrants etc. Even my Nan sounded like a fascist sometimes. But reading YA it seems a lot of people are very angry. Is it time to close the door? Who should we allow into Britain? How about EU citizens? The Poles have migrated in large numbers and proved to be a great benefit to Britain, but it seems even they aren't entirely welcome. 10 points to the most intelligent answer. No response necessary from thickos who type in text-speak.

Hey we invaded Iraq.. we caused the current problem,, before we went there one minority controlled the majority with an iron first and people were too scared to rebel.. people we tortured etc..
then gun hoe USA and UK invaded ( the right thing but for the wrong reasons!!)
Now the place is in chaos and Iraq people are sttling old scores.. killing the opposite "tribes"
we caused this problem and now we have to face up to the responsibilites and keep our troops there for a long time... ( just comparing it to the length of time UK troops were in Northern ireland..)
We should not withdraww untill problem is solved...

Later while in the middle of a prolonged and painful labour she begs for and is given and epidural.

Mother and child survive in excellent health.

She then sues the anaesthetist for over-riding her written instructions NOT to be given an epidural, although she freely admits she did say in effect 'To hell with what I have signed, stop the pain'

Her lawyer argued that in the intense pain of labour a womans wishes should not be allowed to over- ride her written intructions.

The judge agrees and damages are awarded against the anaesthetist,

Can this be right and what does it mean for women in that postion in the future?

WASHINGTON - A record 7 million people — or one in every 32 American adults — were behind bars, on probation or on parole by the end of last year, according to the Justice Department. Of those, 2.2 million were in prison or jail, an increase of 2.7 percent over the previous year, according to a report released Wednesday.

More than 4.1 million people were on probation and 784,208 were on parole at the end of 2005. Prison releases are increasing, but admissions are increasing more.

Men still far outnumber women in prisons and jails, but the female population is growing faster. Over the past year, the female population in state or federal prison increased 2.6 percent while the number of male inmates rose 1.9 percent. By year's end, 7 percent of all inmates were women. The gender figures do not include inmates in local jails.

Are law enforcement personnel, procedures and technologies improving our domestic security as a nation and within your community?

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the criminal justice system. 1 = Bad and 10 = Excellent..
