Mideast Allies near a state of panic
U.S. leaders' visits to the region reap only warnings and worry.
By Paul Richter
December 3, 2006
WASHINGTON — President Bush and his top advisors fanned out across the troubled Middle East over the last week to showcase their diplomatic initiatives to restore strained relationships with traditional allies and forge new ones with leaders in Iraq.

But instead of flaunting stronger ties and steadfast American influence, the president's journey found friends both old and new near a state of panic. Mideast leaders expressed soaring concern over upheavals across the region that the United States helped ignite through its invasion of Iraq and push for democracy — and fear that the Bush administration may make things worse.

The only regional leader to voice unqualified support for the Bush administration has been Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, who has gone so far as to say that the Iraq invasion contributed to regional stability.

Against all the dirty tricks of the USA, Chavez has proven he is the democratic choice of his people.
What next the USA will try to assasinate him or finance a resistance against him as they tried in 2002.
Well done Hugo Chavez.

On the news a few days ago, there is someone who has to be sworn into office, in the US. The US Constitutional ceremony includes being sworn in with the Bible. It has always been this way for everyone, since the beginning.
This politician does NOT want to use the Bible. He wants to use the Quaran.
I realize there are cons and pros, as arguments whether for it, or against it. Washington is not in agreement with his wishes.
My question is, as an American, how do you feel about this?
PLEASE...no religion bashing answers! I want only your opinions based on what you believe to be the right thing to do..
Thanks.

Hope you can help. Husband and I were nearly breaking up. I left home late night as i was really upset, and he was devastated that i left. I agreed to come back to him. He was having a nervous breakdown in the car, and was really worried about me, as it was really late night and i was on my own. So he was speeding to come pick me up, he was crying, and having a panic attack. he passed 3 cameras and 4 red traffic lights. will his licence be banned? how long for? do police ever let you off if you tell them the reason he was speeding? He is a very good driver, and is always always careful. It was just that date he did this. we both made up, but we're both worried about his driving licence. any tips advice part from not to speed again? what can we do? how long does it take for the letter to come to our house saying he cant drive anymore? we're both really worried. i asked him did you see cameras flash, he said he is pretty sure it did, but not 100% as he was in so much tears

group of college students on the other side of you.

I have been threatened by the drug dealing students with a knife and I have been assulted by the hot headed redneck.

After the assult, I reported it to the police. Now the redneck and friends sh*T all over my lawn. They poisioned a stray cat and threw it in my back yard. They have egged my house. I have heard from other neighbors they have been slandering me with everyone that attends their weekly acohol and drug parties. So I turn out to be the bad guy. I want to do something that will stop the harrassment and moving is not an option. I will not be ran out of my house by these people.
