...what would be your suggestion to help resolve the disputes? I think the first step would be to specifically define the borders of a new Palestinian State - difficult, yes, and I know that it could not include Jeruselum - but the only way to "begin" the process would be to have a clearly defined Palestinian State that governed itself, and with no interference from Israel! What do you think is the answer?

When scrutinizing First Amendment speech rights in public places, does the Sup. Ct. ever use the "compatible use" test anymore ("whether the proposed speech is compatible or not with its other principal uses")?
Or does modern U.S. law use only the more recent classifications of traditional, limited, designated and non-public forums in determining the constitutional legality of time, place and manner restrictions?
Thanks in advance for the help.

I deleted the last question because the actual question didn't appear to get through to people. I am NOT advocating on either side of compulsory voting. The question is:

Three civic duties of Americans are: paying taxes, voting and jury duty. That being the case, what makes voting different from other civic duties? Should we be allowed to opt out of paying taxes, just as we tend to "opt out" of voting?

How much trouble can you get into if you say you were going to kill someone and that person went to the police with a tape recording and filed a complaint. a fine, probation, house arrest, jail time, community service. what would most likely happen?

I don't get it you can have an abortion but if you kill a pregnant lady you can be charged for killing that baby? Has a murderer of a pregnant women ever argued against his charges? If so what happened.I don't want this turning into an abortion debate just wondering why our laws are sending us mixed signals.

i asked myself this while spending time with some Friends. I'm currently signed up for the US Navy and leave on January 10th. My father was in the navy so was my Grandfather, and my Two uncles(one is still actively serving, the other was killed in the pentagon in the attack).so i have a decent military background, but my Friends are in their first year of college, opting out of the military option for the more fun filled college life of drinking doing drugs, going to parties and getting degrees for high paying civilian jobs, and of course like any other teenage American these days, hating the government and belittling the military, Now i feel that I'm making a great sacrifice, i could taken the easy way out and choose that life, but i gave that up and signed on for the navy thereby protecting their ability to live that life and continue belittling our fine military. does that seem wrong to anyone?
