If you get pulled over by an unmarked car, Is there a phone number you can call to verify if the person pulling you over is really a cop or not? Do you just call 911 to check? I live in SC...for now

It seems to be more conservative on this board in the early morning and becomes liberal later in the morning. Is this because conservatives are up early for work and the liberals are sleeping in because they don't have jobs?

i was wondering what's the most appropriate behaviour when you get pulled over? How far can you drive before you stop? put your hazards on or not? Turn your lights (inside the car) on if it's at night? Where to put your hands? You know just routine stops. I've never been pulled over and i don't wanna screw up my first one cause i panic and don't know what to do - in case it happens -

Are there really any good solutions? It seams we've only made things worse maybe permenantly. What would be the best strategy, back-up with alternatives, and different contingencies. What is the goal or what should it be? We as a country have got to come up with the best solution, and stick with it!

I know a teenager who just seems to do everything the wrong way. Even though she graduated from High School, she never fails in doing what's wrong. She doesn't steal or break the laws, she just needs a lot of help and she has a lot of idiosincracees. For instance, she loves to stay out all night even though we tell her that that's not right. She refuses to go to college even though we told her she'll have a hard time finding a job if she doesn't go. Also, she refuses to eat in front of other people at home or in a restaurant. She also never washes her clothes and her room and her pocketbook always looks a mess. She also goes out in pajamous sometimes and takes 3 hours to get dressed. She is not a person who should go to jail, nor is she a person who belongs in the crazy house. She is a person who has a lot of problems and she needs someplace to go so she can be told what's right and wrong. I try to tell her but it goes in one ear and out the other. I wish there was a place

It seams our communities are overrun with corruption and total control by gangs and police figures. It really seams everything is being clamped down and freedom is gone! Does anyone else notice this? What do you think? Is it just because we're at war, or is this here to stay? Depressed in Kentucky.

I personaly enjoy a cigarette,as it is the only vice I have.We stand out in the cold,in the rain, snow winds ect to give respect to others to enjoy our moment. My choice is to smoke, now my freedom of choice has been taken away! America is not a free country anymore!! what can I (we) do to honestly get our freedom of choice back? There are to many of us smokers to just let people take our enjoyable vice away.

The legal and political answer is clear, but if there are any ethicists out there, I would enjoy an education on this. If an act is not universally virtuous, what determines when it is or is not?

I don't mean pull out of Afganistan and everywhere else but we are not wanted in Iraq as 'peace-keepers'. Let Iraq set up a government and if the yanks are so insistent on being there why should we be there just to save them (again)?

I have another open question regarding building a wall along the border. Someone answered that question by saying that illegals won't stop coming as long as Americans hire them as cheap labor. That is an excellent point- that points the finger at the U.S. by actually encouraging illegal immigration from Mexico. In cities like Los Angeles and Houston, illegal immigrants keep prices down through cheap labor. What do you think?

The opinion below is NOT my own. It is repeated from a news broadcast. Please do not abuse me for asking the question, just discuss it.

Recently a senior UK Police Chief said that men who have sex with girls aged between 13 and 15 years should not be branded peadophiles as this age group is a "grey area" of female emotional and physical maturity.

Discuss.

Countries in Latin America are passing from democracy to comunism just bellow the USA's nose and nothing are doing to avoid that, instead are expending a lot of money and human resources developing wars in distant countries were they have nothing to expect.

I work directly for my first sergeant, and he just asked me to fabricate a PT card for a soldier who is going to the board. She hasn't taken one in over a year, and I refused to do it. I believe she should wait until she takes the PT test to see if she can pass it, and then turn in her paperwork for the board. It's only a difference of a week. Am I wrong?

After the help that General Franco received from both Germany and Italy during the Spanish Civil War he kept Spain out of WW2 and remained in power with a fascist government until the 1970's. Why didn't Hitler call in hisw marker for Spain to join the Axis. It would have closed off the Med to the Allies, since Gibralter would have easily fallen. This would have resulted in the fall of all North Africa, since the allies would only get supplies through Suez Canal. The result would be no invasion of France or italy. Why did Hitler miss this opportunity?
