It is because the "do gooders" are all not political and therefor don't like the parties

I think it's because a political party ascribes to certain views and beliefs whereas if someone is homosexual you know nothing about what their viewpoints are therefore you can't really comment on them as a group.

Also although I'm neither a 'queer' nor a 'lesbo' I do think some may find those words offensive.

To those bringing up racial epithets, you're either trying to be offensive or just genuinely stupid. I don't like to be called coloured but I wouldn't be too offended as it's not a racist term (that said my racism beacon would go off).

regerugged is just an a** and although I'm neither over 6' or 250lbs I would find a way to beat his a** if he so wished.

Casa what sort of critisism can you level at an entire group of people. And why is it so important for you to be able to catergorise your 'friends' by their colour? Do they not have names? And if you do have multiples think of what you'd use to describe them if they were all white.

I always remember this when the term 'coloured' is used:

When I was born, I was black.
When I grow up, I'm black.
When I'm ill, I'm black.
When I go out in the sun, I'm black.
When I'm cold, I'm black.
When I die, I'm black.

But you -

When you're born, you're pink.
When you grow up, you're white.
When you're ill, you're green.
When you go out in the sun, you go red.
When you're cold, you go blue.
When you die, you're purple.

And you have the nerve to call me coloured?

Free speech is the cornerstone of a free society.

Good manners means that you should not go out of your way to offend other people. But in a free society, there is no right to be protected from being offended.

If you make homophobic remarks, you will hurt and offend many people and they will criticise you in your turn. It is your choice whether you exercise your right to express your homophobic views or not. But you cannot complain if others also exercise their freedom of speech to tell you what they think of your views.

Calling people cranks because they disagree with you says more about you than it does about them.

The world is getting too sensitive. You are not allowed to criticise "minorities" even when they have done wrong.

I am going to start a campign against calling people WHITE. I'm not white I'm brown because I live in Spain and it is sunny. I don't like being called white.

The other thing is this not being able to call negroes and people with VERY dark skin coloured. We have to call them black - they aren't black they are brown. Or do we - I'm not sure how to refer to people these days. I have a lot of black/brown/white friends and sometimes even they don't seem to know what the politically correct brigade want them to be called.

I guess it's because when politicians are criticised it's really aimed at their job and their level of incompetence rather than them as a person.
People can't choose what their sexual orientation is, but people can choose if they want to become a politician. Anyone who goes through childhood saying "when I grow up I want to be Pwime Minister" is going to get beat up in the playground. Simple as that.

Maybe because you're able to choose the political party you like but you can't choose whether or not you're lesbian or homosexual. Just like you can't choose you're ethnicity. It's wrong to berate someone for something they have no control over. Someone's political views are a whole different thing than someone's sexual preference. There's really no comparison.

Because we have started to accept these parts of society but you have two forms of fascists left (not sure thats quite the right word but accurate nonetheless). You have the people that believe all people that don't conform to their thoughts should be killed, then you have the PC brigade that seem to believe that because they were once put down in society they should now be elevated up. anti-semitism is described as 'to treat someone differently as to their abnormalities' which makes the PC brigade as anti-sematic as the ones that want them all dead.

Summed up the human race is THICK.

I don't consider it "OK" to condemn and insult. It is OK to be critical of one's political views. First Ammendment applies.

I use the terms "queer" and "Lesbos" to describe homosexuals. I use the term "******" to describe black people. If anyone does not like it, I say "Screw 'em." No one protests my views. If anyone does, he better be over 6' 4" and 250 pounds.

Then same occasion a woman said she wasn't GAY but a LESBIAN.
I wish they would make up their bloody mind what they want to be called

You choose to be part of a political organisation, you don't choose to be gay.
