I'm not one of the "to hell with all prisoners" brigade!
But, if you're doing time in jail, your smartest plan is to behave yourself as best you can and co-operate with any reasonable
"rehabilitation", "addressing offending" plans and so forth you can. As we don't live in the same world depicted by the movies, escape is almost certainly NOT a realistic option and, besides,
even if you could escape, you'd probably be caught and then have to do longer time still- maybe in a worse prison.

The fastest method would be to stand next to the door when it opens up to release you and then cross the threshold as fast as you can...should take 2milliseconds.
What did you do to get locked up?? Unless you're in the holding cell, and you mean "jail", what were you convicted of?
