No matter what your relgion and belief is, you still must do your job. If you can't or won't, then you should be fired. Or better yet, not work at a pharmacy. Don't work at a location that you feel your morals and beliefs will be put to the test on a daily basis. No one matter profession you are in, you must keep your opinions and beliefs to yourself while on the clock.

A pharmacy is a shop. The staff there are under no obligation to sell anything to anyone if they do not wish.
If the woman had a prescription for the pill then the pharmacist should either supply the prescription or direct her to another pharmacy that will do so.
If the pill was without prescription then there is no absolute right to have it.
In these cases it is worth knowing the contact details for your nearest family planning clinic where there are specialist staff who will always be helpful.

Wrong, her religion goes out the door when she's at work. Just in the same way if the child of a Morman can be saved by a blood transfusion the parents cannot refuse it on grounds of their religion. They're beliefs have no place in the decision of somebodies life or death, it's Manslaughter irrespective of reason. The only grounds she can refuse sale of it is if she believes it could harm you in which case she should have booked you in to see a doctor immediately.

This is happening often in pharmacy's across the US, some are also refusing to sell birth control pills. The pharmacy, if it is a chain, will not fire the employee due to fear of law suits.
In my opinion if you choose to use birth control then it should be sold to you, and the employees religious beliefs should not be taken into account.

Totally 100% wrong, it is not the pharmacists decision to make, does that mean she wont serve customers buying condoms or dispense the contraceptive pill. A pharmacist is the same as a doctor in this respect, their ethical or religious beleifs should not affect theor work and they must be impartial to their custiomers genuine needs.
The pharmacist should be reported to the trading standards and teh licencing authorities for this

neither 'she' is right or wrong. But the patient needs a new Pharmacy and the Pharmacist needs to simply say "we don't carry it".
Also just a quick aside for Alex P. Mormons (you misspelled it) don't have prohibitions against blood transfusions.....or selling Plan B. Check those facts before answering!

She was wrong, she works at a pharmacy that sells the pills so she must sell them to the customers and do her job. That is what she gets paid for.

The woman behind the counter needs to go work somewhere that doesn't sell the morning after pill or change careers!! I don't believe in abortion and I think the moment of conception, there is a soul and if you take that pill and were pregnant you have committed murder.

In the UK a shop-keeper can refuse to serve anyone he likes. When goods are displayed in a shop they are offered for sale, but do not have to be sold.
How ever in this case, if the woman was not the owner of the shop, she should have refer ed you to someone else to be served. If she was the owner of the shop, why did she include this drug in her stock, with no intention to sell it? That is bad business. You should ask to see the boss.

Wrong, wrong, wrong !!!!! The woman who went in had every right to buy the pill - if the woman refused on the grounds of her religion then she should be sacked - she is there to serve - NOT to judge xx
