Apparently, you are a "Chowder head," Lucy. What a mature way to disagree with an opinion.
I don't have a problem with people speaking about their religion, but I hate it when people assume that everyone else has their views. One of the politicians in my state (not Bush, before someone accuses me of misquoting) recently said that it was obvious that "Americans do not approve of gay marriage, because it goes against God." Ok, I don't believe that a) everyone is Christian or b) everyone is against gay marriage. That kind of generalization of religion is all that I object to.
The point is that, yes, George Bush not only has the right to his beliefs, but also the right to talk about them. He just can't say tomorrow that everyone *has* to be Christian.
I have to admit that it creeps me out a bit when he says that God "chose" him to be president. But that's just personal.

There is not one entry in the Constitution about the separation of church and state. Atheists have been saying the phrase so long, our judges have accepted it as a fact.
If you can find it in the Constitution, I will kiss you where the sun don't shine on Hollywood Blvd. at noon on Saturday.
And our President has sworn to protect this country. And continues to keeping his promise while being under fire from those who've never served this country. Only criticized it and it's leaders.
But, that's what American Freedom is all about....

You unwittingly answered your own stupid question! Chowder head.
Next time do a spell check and make sure you have an intelligent, organized thought before you spout off.
Much of the world's supply of trouble is produced by those who produce little else.

Because a large number of people who voted for him are bible thumpers. He could care less what the Bible says. In the 80s during his fathers campaign he wrote a paper for him on to how to best use the voting bloc of the christian right and gosh darn it it seems like he has done it.

Please understand that he is using the bible as a stage prop, he makes his decisions then tries to sell them by using the bible. If he could sell them by using My Pet Goat or Green Eggs and Ham, then believe me, those are the books he would be waving around.
