One question for you. Are you trying to make your case for LD? If so, I am to. In my oppinion they can't can't or shouldn't be held to the same moral standards, because the corporations seem to be amoral seeing as they aren't human. Either that or since corporations in our society play such a significant role they should possibly be held to higher standards, because if held to the same standards as people some people have really bad morals. For the aff. though I've found it a lot harder to think of contentions because they can be so easily picked apart.

Actually, the actions of corporations and governments should be held to a HIGHER standard since they are the primary influences on most of our society. But, corporations are not interested in being good corporate citizens, only the next quarter's profit picture.
Corporate and government mentalities are similar in one respect: they seem to believe "it doesn't matter if it's right or wrong, only if it's legal". -RKO-

That's funny, I haven't seen much in the way of morality for individuals these days, in this "anything goes" society we have. Corporations do have their own version of morals, though, called ethics, but in some instances business ethics are going the way of individual morals......

I thoroughly agree that companies would desire to be held to the comparable ethical standards as persons. shall we take the corporate verify as an occasion. Say I wrote a verify to a seller, signed it and introduced it in substitute for products. shouldn't that funds be obtainable in the economic enterprise on the time the verify grow to be introduced? in spite of everything I did acquire products for my checking draft. a guy or woman who symptoms the corporate verify lots of the time and in maximum STATES, can't be held criminally responsible for the verify of it comes decrease back as inadequate funds. the seller that gained the undesirable verify is out of products and centers, superb? Why shouldn't they be entitled to amassing on the verify as they'd with somebody? in spite of everything the seller did acquire a fraudulent verify. it particularly is just one occasion and that i've got many many extra. Then who do you put on trial. The CEO or the fall guy order to perform the infraction. Its like punishing those soldiers for Abu Grab's actions but they were following orders that came from the Memo pad off of Rumsfeld's Desk.
