Canada has better social programs in place which effectively create a lower poverty rate. It is a sad fact that poverty leads to crime.

...I would want to see some statistics on this. Are they comparing similar crimes and laws? What are the percentage based on population groups, age groups etc. and how do they report, who reports etc.

iN school we have been learning not to answer or ask open based questions where the answer can be easily manipulated. Get the facts first, then ask.

It will not be for very long just look at our laws and it starts at the bottom the Y.A. ACT but we do not have in our charter like the Americans have the right to bare arms
