group of college students on the other side of you.

I have been threatened by the drug dealing students with a knife and I have been assulted by the hot headed redneck.

After the assult, I reported it to the police. Now the redneck and friends sh*T all over my lawn. They poisioned a stray cat and threw it in my back yard. They have egged my house. I have heard from other neighbors they have been slandering me with everyone that attends their weekly acohol and drug parties. So I turn out to be the bad guy. I want to do something that will stop the harrassment and moving is not an option. I will not be ran out of my house by these people.

The harrassment has been going on for the last 3 years and progressively getting worse. It all started when for a year every Friday and Saturday night "ALL NIGHT" they would have loud parties in their garage with the doors open or in their back yards. I love parties also but every weekend, all night became a very big annoyance. When I said something to the red necks, they said "well, none of the other neighbors are complaining". Then one night at 3am after being awakened, I went to the window and yelled " can you tone down the noise? It's 3 in the morning".

The redneck came to my front door and pounded on it, very hard and loud. I called the police for the first time. Afterwards, I call the police everytime I was awakened at 3am. This when on for two more years. Until last month when the redneck physically assulted me. I reported it to the police. Now they and friends let their dogs sh*t and pi*s all over my front lawn. Need Help!

I thank all of you for your suggestions.

Camera's don't work, they only breakout my lighting, so they are free to do as they please in the dark.

I can't bring myself to physically injure the animals to keep them out of my yard.

And it doens't seem the police can do anything until "Shots are fired". The hot headed red neck has threatened to use his gun. And the drug dealing students have threatened me, but when I reported it to the police, the students claimed only to be joking.

They have already taken three years out of my life. I'm not going to give them much more.

Sorry to hear about all the problems you are having, my husband is a corrections officer, so he deals with the very type or types of people you are having problems with. Maybe get yourself a video recorder and when an incident occurs on your property you will have a record of it, make sure it is the type of camera that automatically records the date and time of the incidents. This will give you proof to show either the police or a lawyer in the event something happens. I have a son who is in college, he is premed, I consider myself fortunate we have no problems with him, he parties, however we raised him to respect other peoples feelings and property! Unfortunately in some cases I blame the parents of some kids who are "trouble"
they either do not care what their child is doing or in some cases are still as messed as their own kids and therefore unable to to help them. I do not blame you for moving out of your own house, I would not consider that an option either. I hope this info may have helped you a little good luck.

Put up a fence and video surveillance. Seriously. The motion-sensing kind that only come on when something sets it off, and will feed into your computer or an external harddisk. Rather than a fence, maybe plant a lot of big and fast-growing prickly plants. Install motion sensitive lighting and no trespassing signs, so when they come onto your property uninvited (ie, trespassing) you'll have it on camera, and that makes an open and shut case for them to have to pay the fines, and make a paper trail if a restraining order becomes necessary. It's a shame people can't just be civil. Sure you don't want to move?

well to stop them from doing the deed on the lawn strategic electric fencer used for keeping cows in.For the druggies well there business requires that the people buying not be identified so dry up there clientele by taking pics of the street every time someone starts for the house even if there is no film in the camera these people will get a Little nervous and soon will not come to that house.

We used to have a similar situation with a neighbour, it gets better only when someone gives up or..
a personal protection dog gets shot throwing himself at the person toting the gun and it jams so they can't get off the second shot. The police come and everyone swears the dog was out of control. They believe you, but can't do jack. So you pack all your crap and move 'cause they'd just dance on your grave. Sometimes it just ain't worth the pride you think you have to defend.

I feel for you. I had a drug dealer living next to me when my daughter was in middle school. The cops said that they knew about him, but they were after "bigger fish" & hoped that he would lead them to them. I eventually did move. Please don't let this escalate to further violence, because you will be the one thrown in jail while they all laugh about it. All I can suggest is that you document everything, so it's not just your word against theirs. Put out a security camera (preferrably one they can't see), tape conversations (threats), & it you are assulted again, take pictures of your injuries at the same time you report it. Better yet, insist that the police take pictures of you as well. See if any of the people who told you that they are slandering you will be willing to make a statement to that effect. They might not, because they might be afraid of them. Good luck!

Start taking down license plate numbers. When the drunks leave call the law and give them the #. Same goes for the drug dealing students clients. If they get caught maybe they will roll and problem solved.

Don't think of it as being run out of your house... think of it as moving up in the world and getting out of a bad situation.. I don't really see the positive side to staying - - unless you want to fight them.. Is it really worth it?

like I say - - up and out.. life is too short to waste your time with that kind of miserable situation

Try to get them for running a "disorderly house," or whatever passes for such in your locale.

I know you said moving isn't an option, but there are much better neighborhoods in which to live.
