Proud American- if you review the history of Central and South America you will discover that in the past we have, assinated political leaders, attempted and have been behind overthrows of their governments. So if we have or not, the idea is not that far fetched.

actually i was there during the coup in 2002. the CIA provided funding and technical help to the opposition to take the government by force. also when Chavez returned to power the opposition leaders left on an American plane heading to Miami. also when carmona ( the dictator that lasted 2 days in power after the 2002 coup) came to power all countries in the world refused to recognize him as a leader, until elections were held except for the U.S. the CIA said on a statement that they neather deny nor admit involvement on the 2002 coup. Venezuela is the 5th largest supplier of oil to the U.S. and Chavez did not put the U.S. agenda before his own, so they tried to get him out by force, and establish an artificial puppet government.

We have enough troubles right now other than to worry about Chavez. If Chavez believes that the US tried to assasinate him there is nothing we can do about it. He must have had a reason to make such a statement. The U.S. does not appear "stupid" because of what the questioner asked. It is no more than what he has learned through news media, etc.
Chavez is the re-elected president. The best we can do is to attempt to establish some sort of friendship with Venezuela even given Chavez called the president a name. The president is a big boy. He can handle criticism. And name-calling.
Besides, other leaders' throughout the world have called Bush any number of names (most behind closed doors). One must admit that it is not to any country's benefit to have been thrust into Bush's so-called "Axis of Evil". Besides the real problem is that Chavez is a socialist.

I even think of of he had the persons vote to eliminate term limits so he would desire to desire to stay in skill continually, dumb. He replaced into elected, yet that does make him a pal of ours. in case you like him lots bypass stay over there and observe the form you like it. united statesa. enables you to bypass away and are available decrease back, do no longer think of of chavez will help you are trying this besides the fact that.

Because of our history of assasinations and supporting military coups in Central and South America, we need to pay close attention to see that US goverment STOPS any efforts to keep doing that sort of illegal operations.

No.I like America.Anything we can do to undermine countries that are unfriendly to us we should do."Winning" friends in the world when you are the only super power is not going to happen.Preservation of this nation depends on unfriendly nations not being able to become a threat. That is the way the world works. If it offends your sensibility so what get over it or leave.I personally don't wish for my country to fall just because of some warped notion of "fair".

I almost had to laugh when I read your question and then your additional details.
First you create a falsehood by stating the US is trying to overthrow Chavez and then you try to excuse away your lie by stating "If in fact we have ever done this".
