I'm still waiting for you to give us proof that President Bush reads at a 4th grade level.

Oh, by the way, it is because President Bush and Dick Cheney are in office that I changed my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican.

How can you even ask that question?...
The people of the US voted these guys into office....TWICE !!!!
just because a lot are waking up and now understanding that he's a war-mongering idiot....don't take a stick and beat people over the head for attempting to continue to believe in their convictions...
EVERYONE has a right to choose...even if it's wrong..
Did you never make a bad choice when you were a kid?...or have you never made a bad choice as an adult?...have some respect for other people's choices and decisions...don't be just like "Jawj Dubbya" and force your idealistic views on others, because if you do....then you are no better than him...and that's pretty low.
I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat...I'm not even a US Citizen.....I'm from a peace-loving, small, quiet country to the North of you....your largest trading partner...Canada.

I think the full implication of your question is "how in good conscience can you still be a Repbublican?" For me the answer is that if everyone _with_ a good conscience left the party because of poor performance by some elected leaders, we'd weaken it further still. And if it weakens enough, the US ceases effectively to be a two-party system...not desirable. In my case, I stay with the party because I'm naive enough to hope it can turn itself around in the future.

OK, go ahead and give me thumbs-down, since that's what happens to people who disagree around here...

Yesss!!! Less than a minute before the first thumbs-down. I knew it. Sorry for daring to think...and thanks for proving me right.

I'm a Republican, because I believe in what the Republican's stand for. And there isn't a viable third party to vote for.

You can't hardly change the ideas of one side or the other. Each party stands for certain issues and people with not change on them no matter how much the party ruins America. I do have alot of friends that are repukes though and they voted demo in the last election, lol.

Many people in America vote for their party, regardless of the candidate, and not their conscience.

Partisan loyalty is the worst kind of loyalty there is.

Frankly, I'm sick of voting for the lesser of two evils. Nobody would continue to eat at a restaraunt that only served two options over and over; on a much larger scale, that's exactly what we are doing, politically. It's time for us to take a serious look at some of the so-called "third-parties".

Political parties are merely an illusion, because THIS secret and evil group has been in control of everything for far too long!...
