Yep. Stuck is a good word for it. I imagine Bush wishes he never stumbled into this mess. Most of America has already come to that conclusion.

Every time America has helped another Country to freedom - independence - democratic government etc., we find that we stay to help the people of that Country to stand on their own. Remember WWII, we stayed in Germany beyond the occupation to protect and rebuild, to help the people get back on their feet. Same in Japan and other Countries...South Korea - we're still helping South Korea...that war was over 50 years ago.
'Stuck' is not an appropriate description. Though we don't like the killings, there will come a time when the Iraqi people will be on their own and in control of their own destiny. Pray for that day.

We are definately NOT "stuck in Iraq"... We cannot pull out yet because we still are trying to make sure that when we leave the terrorists of that country do not come forward and take over then try to come after us. We cannot stay too long because it is a sort of lost cause and we cannot completely change them, so we stay until we feel we are safe enough too...

I think your right. I twould have been nice that since the Democrates (who have no plan for anything) would say, listen were going to draw men from Germany and Nato and put double the troops needed in Iraq. Clean it up and tell IRAn if they continue to send insurgents over there, they are next. Instead, the President of Iran sends a letter to the people of American basically thanking them for electing democrates. HIs plan to win by using the American electorate is working great.

You are right about that. It is a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. Can't pull out because it will give a green light to the Muslims if we do.
Only way we can stay is drastically increase troop strength to completely take over country and do away with current Iraq army and police. They are only making things worse.
