Politics and religion are two topics that you do not discuss in public!

It goes both ways, Doesn't seem just the last 6 years though its been so divided, before, there were differences for sure, but most people and Politicians were moderate, they had more in common than apart. I am learning to keep my mouth shut, I was one of those (LIKE MOST) if you look really at the issues who have views on each side, some Conservative and some liberal views, i don't like the far left or far right, I do think most liberals attack the particular issues though while Conservatives more broad attack. and I do think right wing media encourages separation, look at how the term liberal is always used in a negative term, have you EVER seen it like this before the last 6 years..

I am a liberal working in a business environment which is seriously conservative. Same scenario - keep quiet about your politics at work. What you do on your own time is your own business, keep your personal politics out of the workplace.

Yep, don't talk about politics or religion. It's best to keep your private views quiet in a politically hostile work environment. You don't want to make things difficult for yourself. Just play the game and get paid :)

When it comes to politics, keep your mouth shut! I got myself into trouble once, talking about a real hot button issue, Bush, and though I was able to somewhat qualm an impending argument, it definatly made for an akward situation. The arguing is fun on this site, but don't bring it to your work : ) You gotta see these people day in and day out, you don't want them on your bad side

ive found its ok to say your views, just dont shove them down other people's throat. Furthermore, if you respect what they think chances are they'll respect you.
