Is President Bush neutered in the political sense, maybe in the other sense as well? His power came from having the votes in congress and a high approval rating after 911. That has all evaporated. Even his die hard base has second thoughts.

Is President bush neutered in the political sense? That is a question. It even has a question mark behind it. In effect, I am asking if he is a lame duck president with no real power to change or affect anything relevant in the world political landscape. You have to read the details. There is not enough room in the original question letter box.

He came out the gates running full tilt and lost steam long before the finish line. I think the public definitely backed the wrong horse, here. Now, he just looks like a puppet on a string. He even talks like one. I have seen so many gaffs in the last while. People have sent me innumerable emails with links to speeches he has made. It looks like an old Vaudeville act, now. He must know that the public just laughs at him.

Since last year, various political pundits have referred to the President as a lame duck President, since there's not much he can/is willing to do. And this is with a Republican Congress.

Since the elections, he has truly become a lame duck President. He is on his own, with both of the houses of Congress going blue. The President will have a difficult time pushing through any agendas which the Democrats don't agree with, and since Bush is not known to be the most moderate President in history, there could very well be a stalemate between himself and the new Congress, when they take power in January.

i think of the low approval scores of Congress and the President only instruct that the well-known public is disillusioned with Washington all at the same time. assorted Republicans opt to assert, nicely Bush would desire to be extra universal because of the fact Congress has a decrease score. i do no longer think of that's precise. right here is something to maintain in attitude. After 9/eleven, President Bush's approval score shot as much as ninety 5%. Congress peaked at fifty 9%. human beings in no way like the assumption of Washington politicians, that's only the image that "Congress" creates in peoples' minds, no be counted if cases are sturdy or undesirable, persons are many times cynical bearing directly to the assumption of Washington politicians. Its plenty extra handy to have faith in somebody than the thought of a team of politicians, so as that's why the Presidents' approval score is many times larger, whoever that's.

Tat just goes to show that Americans have lost thier backbone. Long gone are the days of world war II when the whole country united to win the war. If we don't wise up, we won't have a country. We must stop radical Islam or else. At least president Bush gets it!

I would not say hes been neutered as he still is commander in chief so he can start another war, as he was given the power to do so after 911

This lame duck you speak of is still quacking.
Dems are sharpening the axe as we speak and
very soon will say off with his head and into the roasting
pan. then they will turn up the heat to roast him to a nice
golden brown. he won't be quacking anymore when they
gobble him up.

Don't forget, even as a low crawling from of life, I imagine he can still bite when cornered. Thank heavens we have a working republic. Now its time for Congressional oversight.

The 'hard man' approach only appeals to thugs, but when you've got those on your side, who cares about the rest?

I dunno, the dumbass is still saying he won't pull out of Iraq until "it is stabilized". I think we need to coin a new phrase:

"Dubya fiddled while America burned"
