Actually, the bulk of my tax dollars are given to other people in unconstitutional socialist wealth transfer schemes, not on the war in Iraq. And between the two, only the war spending is legal and constitutional.

I'd much rather have my tax dollars spent only on constitutionally allowed items. This excludes all welfare, education, departments of labor, education, hhs, etc. Also all the earmarking and other spending - for more cops, etc. All unconstitutional.

Per the 10th Amendment, what isn't specified or enumerated as a power of the federal government, belongs to the states or the people. This means that unless there was an amendment that gave them the specific authority to spend money this way, they are doing it illegally.

If you can show me the Amendment that allows the government to have powers not specified in the Constitution, please let me know.

This is one reason that I have little patience or humor for the twits who think Bush is the one who is harming our Constitution - it's been a century-long attack.

I think that if we take the tax dollars and only try to improve the lives of the Americans here at home, and not give money to support the war, we will be wasting our money in a way because there will be no "homes for Americans back here" for too long after that. If we do not support the war with our taxes, we will be putting our country in SERIOUS danger!

Well, isn;t this a biased question!!

Actually, I don't have a problem with using *some* of our tax dollars to help Americans learn to improve their own lives. I don't want to just hand money over to anyone.

I don't want to give a dime to any other country. Not anymore, nothing. Let countries like France, Germany and Russia pick up the tab.

I want to use some of our tax dollars to protect to the best of our ability our men and women in Iraq, Afghanistan and any other Godforsaken hell hole they are in anywhere on this planet until we can bring them home. I'm tired of our country trying to save other countries. Period. They want to kill each other, so be it. If the people of Europe want to give up their individual idenities to the Muslims... fine. Allah Akbar or Akbar Allah!! However you say it... I'll stick with Amen though..

I would also like to use a significant portion of our tax dollars to strengthen our country militarilly right here at home. Protect ourselves and basically $crew the rest of the world.

I am feeling a bit cynical today. This too shall pass.

Well, I'm not an american, but using the money to improve services at home would be my choice.

Sadly my opinion won't make any difference. If we were ethical and realistic we would NEVER have been misled into invading Iraq in the first place. Follow the money.
