Reports concerning developments in North Korea's nuclear program are routinely absent the "memory-holed" fact that it was Donald Rumsfeld , former non-executive director of ABB, that signed off on a $200 million dollar contract to sell nuclear reactors to the Stalinist state in November 2000.

Will the myopic hubris of the Bushists make them blind to the incompatability of selling a war on a nation years away from nukes while another openly proliferates?

I've heard from numerous military folk that there is SO much gay sexual activity going on in the military that officials are finding it hard (excuse the pun) to keep it under wraps. Does being in the military give you a free pass on what gender you can have sex with while you're enlisted?

I know some of you on here will be SO "happy" to THINK that you ran her off of yahoo answers, but you are so wrong! I "met" Sealrborders, on a different website, and we started "talking' on-line and got to know each other.
I know this will make some of you gloat, because she will no longer be on yahoo answers (and NO, it isn't because of you cowards who lied and got her suspended).,but it's because her husband was just diagnosed with cancer, and she won't have the time to be online very much!
I know this will make all you little cowards who have been impersonating her, insulting her,and harassing her,so happy! Well, i hope you are "proud" of yourselves!!(sarcasm!)
But she just wanted me to say (since you whiners got her suspened, and she couldn't do it herself) " YOU MAY HAVE WON THIS "BATTLE", BUT YOU WILL NEVER WIN THIS "WAR"I WILL NEVER STOP FIGHTING AGAINST ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION"!!!

Really?! You've become so morally corrupt as to stoop to comparing the two? And you wonder why most of the country is moving away from your poisonous way of thinking.

The perceived wisdom here has been to criticize and admonish the UN. Today, everyone has turned to the UN to find a way of sanctioning N Korea.

I suspect, hidden in Bush's frustration is a tinge of hypocrisy and anger that he has to turn to the UN because he is imptent to do a damn thing about the sick SOB in N Korea.

He took his eye off the ball and attacked Iraq. He committed our troops in a futile war so that he can keep his promise to the Military Industrial Complex led by Halliburton. Guess who the losers are once again, US the people of the world.

It's a little too late in the political season to try these tactics anyway.

So what are you going to do now, this late in the game?

Be a real man for once and admitt you and your parties mistakes and blunders? Try to make adments by vowing to not let these kind of blunders happen again? Try to let the public know what you've accomplished in office without twisting the facts?

Na, you'll just resort back to your dirty tricks.

Congratulations, yet another great move of the US to isolate themselves and be disliked by other countries...

Keep cutting immigrant flow so the rest of the manufacturing industry finally moves to China for the cheap labor and all the manufacturing plants are closed in the US and all the American white-collar jobs are gone.

If it is there for terrorist protection, th eonly terrorist ever caught in a border was in Canada....

I love the US but I think a lot of things are being done to ruin this Super Power...

Homophobic fundamentalists often quote two particular verses that seem to be against gay people. These two verses, both of which appear in the book of Leviticus, are . . .
"You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination." (Leviticus 18:22)
and . . .
"If a man lie with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them." (Leviticus 20:13)
Below is another scripture verse that is in the exact same book (Leviticus) as the above verse.

"For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him." (Leviticus 20:9)
Imagine what would happen today if we killed every child who was disrespectful to his parents. Fundamentalists explain this verse away, saying that it is part of the Old Levitical Holiness Code and is not meant to be taken literally.
But the above verse is just a mere 3 verses before Leviticus 20:13, one of their favorite anti-gay scriptures which, of course, they do choose to apply literally.

Fundamentalists also use Leviticus 18:22 to refer to gay people as an "abomination."
The Bible also says that eating shrimp and lobster is an abomination:
"But all in the seas or in the rivers that do not have fins and scales, all that move in the water or any living thing which is in the water, they are an abomination to you." (Leviticus 11:10)
"They (shellfish) shall be an abomination to you; you shall not eat their flesh, but you shall regard their carcasses as an abomination." (Leviticus 11:11)
"Whatever in the water does not have fins or scales; that shall be an abomination to you." (Leviticus 11:12)
So why do these fundamentalists have no problem eating at "Red Lobster" ?
It's just incredible, isn't it?

This question is not about any individual candidate or party. But rather the political climate this year in general. Has it been too negative? Has any candidate anywhere run a positive and clean campaign?

If you aren't breaking the law, why are you afraid? Most of these innocent people who have been arrested and abuse weren't completely innocent, they had previous records or were doing something illegal. I know that none of my family or I have every gotten into any trouble with the police. I wish they would put a police station in the parking lot of my apartments, I sure would feel alot safer, but then again all the gang members and robbers might get arrested and we wouldn't want those nice innocent people bothered would we? I judge everyone by their attitude towards law enforcement because it seems the decent respectable people never have any problem with them, just those people who engage in illegal activity complain.

This question is closed to anyone under 40 please. Also try to keep it from being partisan. I know the left thinks they sold out and the right thinks they grew up. I am wondering on an individual basis, why did the children of the 60's who didn't trust the establishment become the establishment. From hippies to yuppies. And how did the generation of the environment and ideals become so close minded (both left and right wing)and stop caring. I would love to hear a former flower childs response of how they changed?

Given that the EU is now just a vehicle for former Soviet Bloc countries to get a bunch of cash and a free ride from the other member nations, and for the French to work half as much as anyone else (when they're not busy striking), and the Spanish to nick all our fish, isn't it time the UK left the EU and joined forces with Germany - lets face it, strongest economies in Europe, modern, civilised, enough agriculture to be self-sufficient, hard-working, industrialised and so on, and we leave the rest of the EU to drown in their own weak economies?

(probably too strongly put, to be fair, but there you have it)
