I have been thinking the same thing reading all the news in yahoo. I don't think that the outcome will be a good one because North Korea is very defiant, and when you have a country like this that is that defiant there is sure to be a lot of conflict and clashing.

Nothing. I spent a long time in Korea and learned a lot. Mostly that they wouldn't use the nuke against anybody. They realize the US is a huge threat to them and if they nukes south korea they would destroy the fertile part of the peninsula. They want to take it over not destroy it. Im not even sure they actually have one. They just don't want the country with the most nukes to tell them they can't have one. Kim is not a madman and thinking of him as one limits your understanding of these issues. He thinks differently than us. True. But the only people who should be worried are JApan.

Hopefully nothing, the press always has a way of making out we're all gonna get killed at any minute, although for the average person living in the west you have to be really unlucky for this sort of thing to affect your life directly. Don't worry about it, bush will probably drop of few bombs on some koren civillians but whats new?!

This is just the next step in world developments. Ultimately, terrorist will get ahold of nukes and hit the USA. I'm presently building a "fallout shelter", doing research and stockpiling food and water for when it happens. I'm buying a 20 foot cargo container to bury in the hole I've dug on my property. Be proactive or be a victim.

Nothing. Our next plan will be invading Iran. North Korea has practically dared us to do something and we wont.

They've been testing them for 2-3 years now. This isnt' new.

We invade Iraq because they might have weapons of mass destruction. We had no proof, they had nothing to do with 911, but we invade.

North Korea says they have weapons of mass destruction; threatens to use them if anyone messes with them; and tests them and announces they're testing them; yet we do nothing. to them.

Don't tell me this isn't about oil. If North Korea had oil like Iraq, we'd be on them like white on rice. (no pun)

Bush said this morning that the U.S. would help with the military to secure the country.

His brand of security is scary!!!!! He'll go over there for security reasons and end up blowing the whole country up, helping them win democracy.

He's pretty hot to trot to kill someone Else's kids!

But illegal aliens need not worry because you can't be drafted like 18 year old American kids!

I do not thing the US can fight 3 wars at the same time so probably nothing right now , maybe some sanctions by the UN will be the beggining and probably the end of the problem.

It worries me too, especially when I read that oppressive and excessive economic sanctions might be imposed. This could drive the N. Koreaqns into a corner, and they might react in a backlash of resorting to warfare out of desperation.

After WWI, excessive sanctions against the Axis powers led them to build up and lash out in WWII. Let's not repeat our mistakes. They still can't really hurt us, so let's just watch them carefully and not let them get ICBMs.

Not really sure, we need to keep our survival kits ready in case their is an invasion. And we need to give it to our higher power so he can instill us with wisdom as to what to do.
