About a month ago my wife and I were driving down the local highway when out of nowhere two horses running full speed at us come over a hill and we hit one dead on going 70 miles an hour. Most of the horse was liquified and poured through the windshield soaking us completley. We both made it out okay. Except for some minor cuts on my leg. Later I contacted the owner, getting his number from highway patrol, and he told me to get lost and hung up on me. Now I have a totaled 2001 Chevy Cavalier and I'm pissed off having horse guts all over me. I know I can sue him for the car but is it worth it?

A new report by Standard and Poor's (an extremely reliable source) says illegal immigrants in recent years have contributed the "vast majority" of $7,000,000,000 extra to the fund - money that will never be paid out. This reduces the long term shortfall by almost 10%.

Why is it that we don't hear more about such studies, but instead just hear the ones that villify immigrants? Perhaps this would interfere with Halliburton's latest billion dollar tax-money contract to build detention centers and a wall?

Okay, here's my story: I was born and raised in the U.S., as were my parents, and their parents.

But here's where it gets tricky- some of my great grandparents were born here, some were brought here as children from various European countries. Their parents applied for citizenship and became legal U.S. citizens.

Now, according to what I am reading on this forum, I am an immigrant myself because none of my ancestors were descended from the "native American" peoples who migrated here before the Europeans.

I'm really concerned about this. If I am illegal, how do I go about becoming a citizen? And can I get back all the income taxes I've been paying, since I am just an immigrant?

And if I do just get deported, where can I go? Some of those countries my ancestors came from have changed names or become part of other countries. And since there is more than one country, will I have to be cut into pieces, each part returned to a different place?

If you are one of the ones who think Bush should be impeached. What will you do if the Democrats do take back Congress and don't immediatly start impeachment proceedings? Will you vote for them in 2008?

wouldn't it be easier to ban the use of nuclear bombs? make them illegal to produse and to have, simply because it's a weapon of mass distruction, it's a threat mainly for the civilians and to the environmant. So that we don't have any more crises like with Iran and N.Korea, or anybody else

Nixon had Watergate. Reagan had Iran/Contragate. Clinton had Whitewatergate and Lewinskygate.

In the past 3 years, Bush and the Republicans have had:

Plamegate,
Abramoffgate,
FEMAgate, and
Foleygate...

...not to mention the disaster that is the Iraq War.

After the Republicans are swept out of both houses of Congress in November, what can they to do regain the trust and support of the American people?
