Personally, I'm afraid of this isolated country. I've little doubt the media is skewing some of the information.

Help me out to understand it -- and what do you think will happen?

I came across a comment that people who don't support illegal immigration are xenophobic? See below.

"*Its about a small group of xenophobic's who want NO immigrants, legal or illegal, and hide behind this issue of illegal immigration, to satisfy their fear of people from different cultures and countries coming over here and 'taking' over.......

Its all based on fear..... "*

I don't support illegal immigration for my own reasons, First of all, I have the rights to have an opinion, So that is mine and also, it is against the law.

What i want to know is are you people who don't support illegal immigration xenophobic & what do you think of that comment above of people who don't support illegal immigration being xenophobic?

Someone stated that she found out her boyfriend was cheating on her, so she scrubbed her butt hole with his toothbrush without telling him. I told her that she could have given him E. coli but she said he deserved it.

I know each jurisdiction's laws are different, but could that be attempted murder since she had the intent to cause harm? Or is the possibility of him catching E. coli so remote that it would just be brushed off as a domestic squabble?

This is actually true and it was a workmate who said it.

First, most of my views are liberal, so I am asking all of you whom are fair minded and intelligent to not fallaciously go around labelling me as a conservative or fascist based on the following question. I know most of you are plenty intelligent to know better.

Now to my question. Do you feel that some among you use an adversariel position on Bush too much as a rationalization for the behavior of the Iranian and North Korean governments? Or do you feel their behavior is justifiable, even warranted? If your views are nuanced, please express them. I ask this because it does seem to me that some of the criticisms against Bush are starting to obfuscate the issue of how to deal with Iran and North Korea.

Please give your thoughts. Thanks.

We live in a trailer...it's an 80's model...we're renting. Since we moved in we've all been getting head aches, but attributed it to getting married and stress. Well they haven't gone away. Then my daughter started coughing and her eyes were red and watery. About a week later her room started smelling really bad!! I went in to check things out and the floor "fell in"...like it had a HUGE soft spot! And the floors in the hall and surrounding rooms starting bowing in and out. I called the land lord and he said he'd replace the floors tomorrow morning. But my child's pediatrician and my father (who owns an architecture firm) said it won't go away that easily and that we need to move out. But, we don't exactly have money to do that unless he gives us our deposit back! The pediatrician says she'll write a letter to the land lord explaining why he's against health code and it should get us our deposit back? But is there a clause in the renters rights that I can show the Landlord?

What if people actually did what this song was talking about :

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds
Getting so much resistance from behind

I think it's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

What a field-day for the heat
A thousand people in the street
Singing songs and carrying signs
Mostly say, hooray for our side

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

Paranoia strikes deep
Into your life it will creep
It starts when you're always afraid
You step out of line, the man come and take you away

We better stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

I keep reading about the very high ups in companies getting 30% wage increases and yet workers and the country suffer as jobs and factories are sent overseas. When China has all the manufacturing in their country how will we be able to produce war materials in case of a conflict like ww2. Think about it people...burger flipping and paper pushing won't cut it.

I was driving home from my sister's house last evening. I past a parking lot that was vacant except for one police car. I kept driving down the road and then I saw headlights in the distance. I wondered if it was the police car. The car behind me got closer and closer and it was the police car. He followed me for a couple miles and then put on his flashing lights. I pulled over and had no idea what I did wrong. He told me that my blinker light was dim when I turned. He gave me a verbal warning to have it fixed and let me go. When he walked away, I was immediately suspicious because he followed me for over a mile before I turned, like he was waiting for me to do something wrong. I just came from my mechanic and he said there's nothing wrong with the blinker. So, why did the police officer really pull me over?

Many people must pay an annual fee to check out library books. The places where the $150-$200 fee per year is required, are just the places where the economy is poor and people are unable to afford the fee.

Don't you agree that all children,(at least) in America should have equal opportunity to read? Public service announcements serve no purpose if the families cannot afford books.

Celebrity figures telling us to read to children, need rather to be working to enable ALL communities whether large or small to have libraries and to make those libraries accessible to the surrounding area regardless of how political lines of demarcation are drawn.

Please educate yourselves, don't make me tell yet another generation that, "I'm sorry but Big Bird and Reading Rainbow are wrong, we cannot check out books from the library in town."

Yet large cities receive higher federal tax dollar return than rural communities. Now maybe you can begin to understand resentments. We all need.

Sorry, it doesn't quite work that way. One of the reasons we live here is the RIGHT to dissent....to criticize our government and (hopefully) shift the direction in which it moves. Just like you right-winger neo-fascists. You've done alright for yourselves, since '84. Now we see the end result of all that small minded hate, greed and bigotry -- war without end and looming fiscal calamity for our future.
Rome and Germany - two other once great empires, were republics too. Then they started down the slippery slope of authoritarianism and fascism. No republic ever survives this. The complete take over of government by the corporate elites. War as a business.
One day you goose-stepping goobers will be on par with the brownshirts or the MCarthyites. How we bankrupted all our children's futures in the quest for oil. Too bad. If we were so truly great we would SOLVE our energy problems and get out of the middle east.
Bush is going to go down as one of the worst presidents of all time. An embarassment people like you will no longer care to admit that you once supported. Right after this maloderous gang is given the door -- history will not be kind. (If they give up the power easily in '08'. We'll see).

We're going to stay right here and do what we can to save this country from people like you. You leave. Be a part of the solution instead of the problem.
