Seems that the richest country in the world is also the poorest morally. When the government has litterally billions to spend on sending people to their deaths, but cant house its older generation, and keep cutting back on its help to its own citizens, there is something wrong. What is wrong is that the government cant make a profit on helping its own, but can, in the long run make billions for the millionaires of Our country by continueing to wage war on others. War is big buisiness, and "There's profits to be had", even at the expense of our own people. What the politicians dont understand is that the people they refuse to help today are still the voters of tomorrow. The elderly homeless are OUR Families, and WE WILL REMEMBER what you have done to them. You will get no satisfaction, because WE WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU!!! If you rig another election, or form alliances with the opposite party, there will be civil unrest, and possible war here. What will you do, NUKE YOUR OWN CITIZENS?????

Only answer I've received so far is that more guns is the solution to the recent school shootings. Any other suggestions? Since we can't make people accountable for children getting ahold of their parent's handguns, and we can't force safety classes or gun safes, is the solution for more unregulated people to have guns, and more children to have access to unprotected guns?

Schools are funded almost entirely by property taxes in the U.S. Numerous studies have shown that, while illegal immigrants do pay fewer federal taxes than legal workers (partly because of under-the-table work, and partly because they are very low-income), they do pay property tax. After all, even if they rent, the rent includes the property tax paid by the owner.

Therefore, since they are paying into the schools, why do people complain about educating their children? They pay as much as any person living in a comparable area pays.

So, saying they cost us $ for education is simply untrue. It cost as much as any education costs, and they pay as much as anyone pays.

Right?

Many of the diamonds, gold, and other gems they wear so ostentatiously are obtained through the exploitation and killing of Africans. Yet, they continue to brag about them and wear such ridiculous things as grills and absurdly long chains encrusted with diamonds. Then they complain about how white people don't care about blacks. Shouldn't you care about your own people before complaining that someone else doesn't?

I know black people aren't the only ones, and I know that not all black people care so much about their bling, I just think this irony applies mainly to them.

I just posted this question in another category but only got 3 responses so here it is again.

I think it would make a huge difference if the media happened to mention the following

In 1994 The blundering Clinton administration agreed to provide North Korea with two light-water nuclear reactors in exchange for ending its nuclear weapons program. It IS possible to extract weapons-grade material from light-water reactors.(who didnt see this coming?)

What's more surprising is Donald Rumsfeld sat on the board of the company that won the $200 million contract to provide the design and key components for the reactors.

The company is Zurich-based engineering giant ABB, which signed the contract in early 2000, before Rumsfeld gave up his board seat and joined the Bush administration. He was on the board from 1990 to early 2001.

In May 2001, the DOE, after consulting with the new Rumsfeld Pentagon, authorized delivery of nuclear technology to North Korea. Groundbreaking ceremonies attended by Westinghouse and N. Korean officials were held Sept. 14, 2001--three days after 9/11

I want to be clear here. I don't care if Hastert is gay, or what he does with other consenting adults. But where children are involved, I have a real problem, as I do with the hypocrisy of Hastert's anti-gay voting record.

I'm from England and i am alsolutely outraged at the North Korean nuclear test, but western governments shouldn't be wagging their finger as if they are innocent. THEY have nuclear weapons too and have tested them in secret underground locations also.

If not for stricter gun control, then how? I'm all for government staying out of it, and I totally belive in personal freedoms, and personal responsiblilites. Should we criminally punish the owners of the guns for not following and respecting proper usage, storage, safety, and handling of their guns? Should there be a statute of limitations on reporting a stolen hand gun? What should be done?

I am a perfectly normal, educated, hard working, and intellectual White male. Does this mean that I have no chance for government work? It seems you have to be a minority and/or disabled (both mentally and physically) to even have a good shot at getting a job in government. I mean, take Pres Bush for instance.
